Sorry to hear your news....Some friends of mine recently miscarried at 17 weeks, and it was detected at the 20 week scan. She obviously had to deliver etc, which is just a horrible thing to have to do I would imagine.

my teacher had the same thing she was off for 7 weeks and told us all she had appendictus(think thats how you spelll it)
but it wasnt the case when me and my friend asked she told us that she had a misscarriage thoughe we didnt no that she was having a baby
this story may be hard to understand as while writing this i was arguing with a lad in the same room as me sayin i was on msn even though it doesnt work on school computers

Sorry to hear your news Karen. I've had a similar experience and know how hard it is emotionally to deal with. I went for the 'natural' option too and found it painful so I know it also has a physical impact too.

I think going on holiday together will be a nice thing for you to do and I'm glad you've got something to look forward to.

After I lost our first baby we tried again and have DD - Jessica who is now 3 so it can work out in the end. I hope it does for you too.

Sorry to hear your sad news. I miscarried my first baby at 12 weeks and went on to have 2 very strong and large babies - my DD who will be 20 on the 9th of next month was 8lb 14oz and my DS (now 16) who was 9lb 1 1/2oz. Try not to worry these things happen sometimes - mine stopped developing at about 7 weeks and I have to have a D & C as it was well and truly fixed and I would have carried on bleeding otherwise. Enjoy your trip and relax you'll be fine.
