Took our DNiece, and DFiance's Mom, Dad and Sister to Ohana's last night. We had a PS at 7:20pm but where seated at 8:15. Things got a little nuts when Mom who's a diabetic was getting the shakes, but the hostess brought us out some bread and OJ very quickly... kudos to her! We got a table front and center for the fireworks... yahoo! Food was great, although some of the meat was a tad cold tonight. At 9pm we got ready for the fireworks, which were AWESOME! I'm glad we watched them from Ohana's and had not choosen to go inside the park. They went up all around the lagoon, not like Wishes. They were coming from the GF and Contemporary area as well as all over MK and from the castle area. IT looked like it was a show just for us as we were in the middle of it all. They turned off the lights and pumped in the music. Wonderful! They also did the national anthem and we stood for that, although most did not. The water parade stopped infront of the Poly during the entire show, with flags, etc.
It was well worth it all to see DNiece's face.
It was also pretty neat, our server had the entertainer do the B-Day and Anniversary songs we were celebrating that night. Anyone else get to see the fireworks last night... weren't they great.
It actually brought a tear to my eye, never realized how good we have it in this country. When some are in such terrible situations and our freedom allows us to be sitting there, having a great meal, watching fireworks... God Bless America!
