What a deal!

My dh made me a deal. We are planning a WDW trip for our anniversary in September, but I was whining that that was too far away. :rolleyes1 So he made me a deal...when I lose 30 pounds we can go to Disneyland. What a carrot! :thumbsup2 Now he doesn't think I can do it, or rather he thinks it will take me so long we will already be actively planning the September trip and a California trip wont be necessary to keep me entertained. Little does he know that is part of my motivation. I have already lost some, so I hope to be able to go prior to schools letting out. I have been playing disney park music every day and I have a bottle of suntan lotion on my refrigerator to remind me not to cheat!
He tried to buy me a cupcake yesterday and I refused. The little saboteur! He is going to try and con me out of keeping his side of the bargain! :rotfl2:

Nice to see you here! What a GREAT deal! I would do almost anything to lose the 30 pounds for that carrot! Thirty pounds by the time school lets out will be tough, but you can definitely do it! Like Lisa said, hop over to the BL 9 challenge and join in!.......P
 
My husband and I are going just the two of us on a trip to WDW this May for our Annversary, but not only are we celebrating our 19th Anniversary we are celebrating the fact that I have lost 35lbs and 40 for him. I told him when we were at WDW last Sept (that if I got down to my goal weight then we would be going back just the two of us). Not to put a damper in your spirts but it took my 6 months to lose my weight. I am diabetic and just started seeing a specialist in August right before our Sept trip, he put me on a special diet (ok not a diet but a lifestyle change) and exercise program. He told me the correct way to lose the weight and keep it off is to lose 1-2 lbs a week, and walk at least 30 minutes per day.

My husband and I are hoping to try and run our first 5k sometime this summer. Just remember if you have a bad day one day not to give up just eat better the next. I no longer eat any breads, pastas, potatoes basically no starches. I eat fruit, vegtables and protein. On occasion I have one small square of dark cholcate or 1/2 cup of ice cream. Good luck!
 

As the BL group can attest, I have been fighting my weight for a long while. Last year I got so close to my goal I could almost taste it. Then I lost my job and the stress/depression/pure boredom caused me to gain 32 lbs. :sad2: Right around the same time (in fact 3 days after my company went out of business) my father-in-law became very ill and he has been in and out of the hospital for months, so hospital food is not helping matters!

The last few months I have been toying with my weight. I have lost and gained the same 5 lbs over and over. :rolleyes1 My motivation has been severely lacking. This might just be what I need!
