No, I do not.

Let me just clarify.

1. I never said cms were already being scheduled for Christmas.
2. I was responding to the original poster being shocked that
Thanksgiving through Christmas was our busiest time of
year. Overall, it is. It was never established in the original
post which specific dates. Now that I see the original post
has been edited to reflect an exact time period.

Is it just me or has this thread gotten a bit ridiculous? Obviously the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas IS NOT the busiest time of year! Just read the accounts of those who have been during the first two weeks after Thanksgiving...just look at the shortened park hours...and it's VALUE season!

Samirella, I'm not sure what the big secret is about your position with Disney and why you don't seem to want to elaborate on it, but unless there are some drastic changes in the works for this upcoming December...hours are not, or at least have not historically been, by any stretch of the imagination, "extended" at that time of year. Well, at least I don't consider 7pm to be extended hours.

I agree that is thread is getting a little out of hand. It appears to me that samerilla is just trying to help, as is everyone else. We all know that we all have our own opinions, but I do think that maybe we could voice them in a friendlier way. JMO

I, too, am surprised at the hostility towards a CM. I know that in the past, Thanksgiving through Christmas is great in terms of smaller crowds, but something may in fact be different this year. I called about a month ago to book a room at Wilderness Lodge for the 1st week of Dec. and was told that they were almost sold out of ALL rooms---not just discounted ones. The CM sounded surprised and commented that it's not the norm for the "between holiday" weeks. Some people may have rescheduled out of hurricane season and who knows what else. None of us wants to hear the crowds are going to be high when we're there, but it MIGHT be the case this time.

I have to say, it seemed uncharitable to make comments about a CM having to clear up "crap" left behind, etc. I think the CMs contribute a great "inside scoop" to these boards.

Just my two cents!

I have been there many times in December including 12/15-12/24/03 (we usually go the 1st 2 weeks in December). I have also been in March, May and June. Except for the fews days right before Christmas, it is the least crowded and most wonderful time to go. I think the miscommunication is due to the fact that we are considering less crowded and less busy to be the same. A CM working in entertainment probably would be busier while getting ready for the Christmas holiday, but that has nothing to do with the crowds. And that is what us tourists are interested in.

Thank you for the clarification, Samirella. I though maybe you were in on some "top secret" information pertaining to the upcoming Thanksgiving-Christmas timeframe that we "mere mortals" were unaware of and were sworn to secrecy! ;) :p

Then again, as more and more people read the UG, well, ALL of the secrets are out!!!! Just kidding, a lot of us with kids don't like to take them out of school, although we seem to be in the minority on the DIS, so any time kids are in school should remain less crowded than when they are out. JMHO....Lacee

wasabi girl--we will be there the same time as you next year. Our first trip in Dec--where are you staying??

ok now i am gettting a mite nervous...so is it or is it not going to be busy from Dec4-10 ( only time i care about, selfish or not!) if it is i'd rather change my dates cause i can't stand in lines a long time. i was surprised that most of my ps were not the initial requested time adn had ahard time getting a ap rate at pofg but i just kind of wrote that off. so anyone else heard anyhting about busier than normal or than in ages past(:) ) for early Dec ( the hurricane stuff makes sense)

I never said it was a secret. I don't feel the need to elaborate since it is in my signature.

I think the question has been throughly answered. There's too much snipping back and forth! If you want to continue to do that feel free in an email or apm...NOT here!

My .02...I find it hard to believe between Thanksgiving and Christmas is WDW busiest time fo the year.Been there several times in early Dec. and it was very nice, more crowded each time but managable.I've been to WDW about every month in the year and the time I visited between Christmas and NY was the most crowded I'd ever exprienced. The place was PACKED!

And now this thread is closed.
