Losing patience with Disney’s “reservations” process. Almost every meal this weekend we check in early on the app as they suggest, check in again at the podium and still wind up waiting 30 minutes after our reservation time.

Well, you see, as long as they are "maximizing value for the shareholders" that's all that matters for the folks on here who own 20 shares and realize a profit of a dime per share on same sooooooo maybe now would be a good time to question if unfettered capitalism is the best solution for people who aren't captains of industry?

We went during Thanksgiving week and did not do mobile check in except at LTT where we were told we had to and did not have long waits at all. We usually have lunches at 11:30 am and dinners at 4:30 pm or 5:00 pm.

It's not a reservation as we think of it. It's more of front of the waiting line. On the weekends, when the park tends to be more crowded, wait times are longer. Depending on the size of your group also makes a huge difference as to the number of tables available for your group. Still annoying when having to wait a long time.

Yeah, I know it's not the "normal" reservation process. And kind of OK with the one meal in EPCOT, they just have never figured out capacity management, but with only 2 of us at a restaurant without any lines of waiting people (Steakhouse 71) later in the evening (8:10 PM), this kind of wait was just ridiculous. This is the first time I've had this type of issue at a resort. To add insult to injury, the meal was definitely not worth the wait nor cost.

This happens when guests stay at their table longer than anticipated.

I am a bit more understanding. I put it down to incompetence rather than malice. :)

Pretty soon you'll be able to purchase a Lightning Lane to get priority seating. More of Disney's money grab. Stay Tuned.......
