What’s the deal with EPCOT future world?

I just booked an 8 day WDW stay (7 park days) and I’m trying to figure out which parks we want to repeat and when. While looking at the MDE map I noticed that FW seems rather sparse since we Iast visited 10! Years ago. (We spend most of our time at DLR, since we own at GCV) so my question is this, what’s there to do in FW now other than the E tickets? I used to consider EPCOT a two day park but these days and in CoVID times, Seems like one would be enough? Visiting in early Dec so not sure what festivals might be going on.

It's a giant construction zone in the middle of FW.

The "normal" list of Future World attractions is not very long
even before Covid and construction.

Basically, they had a big plan to redo FW, tore down buildings, pandemic hit, they gutted some of the plans and will probably throw in some paths and whatever, as long as it is cheap.
