What’s in your Disney park bag?

I bring the minimum! Small wallet with credit card, ID and a bit of cash, reusable water bottle, sunglasses, camera, Band aids, and a small container with meds I may need (Advil, aspirin, tums).

If I don't have my DSLR, I just bring small wallet with ID and credit card into parks when solo and sunglasses. Band aids and pills I can get from first aid in the parks. I was very surprised my first few visits with how much stuff I didn't actually need.

If camera is in tow I might throw in some extra sunscreen or such but that bag goes in a locker and it's just me and the camera on a Rapid Strap by my side.

Depends on the visit, the weather, and whether I plan to return to the room mid-day to rest up for the evening. Usually, I try to take as little as possible. Less to carry, less to keep track of.

In the past I've carried a backpack, large and small fanny bags, a small "guide-book" sized bag, a string bag, and a couple of other bags of various sizes. I've also made heavy use of pockets on cargo shorts/pants.

In my pockets are my wallet (ID, cash, credit card) and a small paperback book to read at meals or while waiting for the bus or the family to show up somewhere, and a small flashlight, a small bottle of headache medicine, and my phone. I wear a hat, sunglasses with a strap so I can drape them off my neck, and a water bottle on a shoulder strap.

I may take a travel umbrella if it looks like rain, or a light windbreaker if it may become chilly. Since I like to go back to my room for a few hours in the late afternoon, these are two items that I can either take or leave as necessary. This is when I may take a small bag to carry them in.

I rarely take a camera. I took a camera to the parks is when I was doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour and watching the Star Wars parade, but otherwise it just takes up space and adds weight.

Oh, lots of stuff.

Always
Money
ID
Emergency credit card
TIW card
Phone
Little bag w/sunscreen, lip balm, brush, anti-bac wipes, mints, aspirin
Ziploc bags

Sometimes
Jacket
Poncho
Lunch in a frozen Packit
Snacks
Bus pass
External battery to charge my phone (new since FP+)

I tend to carry more on my budget offsite trips than when I stay onsite with a Dining Plan.

Depends on the time of year and day. Warm and during the day - try not to bring a bag, so wallet and phone in pocket, ticket in a lanyard and reusable water bottle. If it was cold at night or definitely going to rain bad, I'd bring my backpack to put my hoodie or waterproof light jacket in when not needed.

The last time I went, the security guard joked with me that I brought my house. So I bring about that much.

Definitely a poncho, storms roll in very frequently and the park clears out a bit. If you have some rain gear you can still enjoy the rides with less wait time. A light jacket, the rides are air conditioned and it can sometimes get a little chilly. I also always bring snacks, sunblock, money, sunglasses, phone, lip gloss (cause everyone need lip gloss right lol). Another thing I like to carry in the summer is a small pair of flip flops. If you are riding the water rides it is a huge help. No more soggy wet socks and shoes rubbing causing sores on your feet.

When I was on my college program I used to bring a pair of rain pants rolled up in my purse to put on whenever I got on a splash ride. It's not as big of a deal when it's hot and you're wearing lightweight, quick-drying pants, but whenever I went to the parks in jeans in the cooler months those rain pants saved me from so much chafing.

This time around I'm not going to bother with that. I'm hoping to go bagless aside from the gadget holster I'll wear on my leg, which should be big enough to hold my wallet, sunscreen, phone, chapstick, and hand sanitizer. Seriously, don't forget the hand sanitizer; international attractions like WDW are a meet and greet with the germs of the world.

I usually have a cross body and always have a portable and a wall phone charger! Comes in handy and everyone asks to use it ;) If we plan on spending all day at the park, we rent a locker to put sweatshirts or other shoes in! (DL)

We travel pretty light in the parks:

Camel Back Water Bottle
Rain Gear
Small First Aid Kit
Various Snacks
External Battery Charger for Mobiles

I bring a mini-backpack and fill it with:

-Water bottle
-travel sized sunscreen
-hand sanitizer
-poncho
-small wallet
-travel sized first aid kit
-external battery/charger

...and sometimes my maleficent ears when I get tired of wearing them on my head ;)

Camera with an extra battery in its case
Phone
Small wallet with id, credit card and cash
Band aids
Advil
Tums
Hand sanitizer
Small pack of wet wipes
Sun screen to refresh during day
Filtered water bottle
Tissues
Poncho if rain is called for
Pen
Mini to do chart so I stay on track

Yes the parks may have the "first aid" type stuff, but generic band aids either don't stick or turn my skin bright red, and It is easier to reach in my bag for a brand of whatever I know works than to have to track down somewhere to get some generic thing that doesn't cut it. I don't mess around :). Plus these things don't take much space.

The only thing I bring that wasn't really mentioned is that I bring a sweater, scarf/shawl, or my running sleeves for the bus at night. We only travel in the summer, so a jacket isn't usually necessary, but the bus can be crazy cold at night.

We are going in November, and I have a Vera Bradley cross-body hipster bag. Would that get in the way of rides, etc?

So many great suggestions. I'm wondering about purses too. I'm thinking that a cross-body would be very practical. Thoughts?

I don't really like the way the cross body bags feel when I am walking that much! I prefer a small backpack because then the weight is evenly distributed on my back, not pulling me to one side. Maybe thats just because i feel the need to pack everything i own into my bag :rotfl:

I use a small cross body bag and because its a small bag i'm not tempted to overfill it.

One thing i'm going to try this year is a Bobble water bottle. Apparently it can filter out the taste of Florida's water. Not meaning to offend but I really taste strong chlorine when I drink from the water fountains.

I try to travel light, so just ID, creditcard, gum, lipgloss (i hate dry lips!), and a folded plastic grocery bag to sit on for Splash..so I can avoid sitting in the puddle haha
