anyone ever been, what did you think of it?

It's been years (atleast 5) but I was really disappointed with Whale's Tail. It was really small and dirty. I wasn't expecting Blizzard Beach but thought it'll be at the same calibre as Story Land but it's not and I remember thinking it was way overpriced.

We went a couple of years ago. I had free tickets. It is a small water park, especially when you compare it to the Disney ones or even locally, Water Country. I didn't find it dirty at all and the slides were fun. My kids (at the time 11 & 14yo) loved the wave pool and spent most of their time in there. Unless you are staying in the White Mountains area it is a hike from anywhere so I probably wouldn't make a special trip just to go there.

Yep, it's small and last time I was there (several years ago) it wasn't dirty, and lots of fun! I'm not sure if they've added new stuff in the intervening years...

Of course, you could come a bit further north and go to Funtown Splashtown in Maine; that's REALLY fun! :thumbsup2

I haven't been in a few years but I seem to recall it was a small water park but DD had lots of fun there. She prefered Water Country in Portsmouth but at the time we spent all of our weekends up here in Northern NH so Whale's Tale was closer (still a long drive, but not as bad as Portsmouth!). I remember that it was clean. Food was so-so - like any amusement park, kind of overpriced and blah but not really bad.

I wouldn't go to Lincoln just to go to the water park but if I was staying there for a week or so, I'd try to plan some time there.

I was thinking of whales tale during a trip up to white mtns for storyland. we did see whales tale last time we were up there, it was closed, but it did look small, but like it might be fun.
as long as its not dirty!!

the kids and i were watching waterparks on travel channel so they have waterparks on the mind now. so i thought of whales tale for the summer.

funtown splashtown looks like a lot of fun too! my dh has a co worker that has been there and said it is a lot of fun, so that is another possibility too :thumbsup2

ok I just looked closer at the Funtown website, and it does look fun, that is definitely going to be on the plan for the summer :thumbsup2

I have been to Attitash, there are some nice resorts there, its a good location if you are going to storyland and/or santas village, etc. ( thinking of a summer visit)
a friend of ours stayed here and said it was nice
