Whale watching

Anyone know of any whale watching excursions? We will be in Anaheim the second week of September. Don't know when whale "season" is, or if there is even one!!

I think whales migrate down from the north during February, and then return in April/May.

I do not think there will be any whale watching during your stay.

You might try a day out at Catalina Island, and try the glass bottomed boat or submarine to see some of our underwater life out here.

Whales have been migrating up to Alaska so unless you are in Canada, Alaska, or the pacific northwest, you won't see any whales down here.

Miss Daisy, I'm going to do a whale watching cruise in July. I have checked it out and from around May to November, give or take, there are humpback and blue whales off the coast around the Channel Islands. We will be leaving from the Oxnard and Ventura area.
The whales the other poster was talking about are the greys, and they have indeed already left the area, according to my reading.

we've got tickets for whale watching in oct. during blue whale season (it's gray whale season right now) out of dana point. there's several companies advertising for this and it's listed as being legit on several tourism sites.

its called dana wharf sportfishing & whale watching but there are others as well. just put in dana point and whale watching in a search engine. you'll get several hits. hope this helps

I'm checking out a company with Condor in the name....out of the Ventura/Santa Barbara area. It seems to be more expensive than the Dana Point company but the cruise looks similar. Wonder why the added expense?
