We are booked at FW from Sept 1 - 9 (yes in 11 days :yay:) and our son, daughter-in-law and grandson are booked at Wilderness Lodge. When we booked this trip (a while ago) the idea was we could all use our bikes to go back and forth between FW and WL ........... but after reading about the construction of the DVC Reflections I'm wondering if the walking/bike path we have always used is still open/accessible?

During our last visit at the Fort (Dec 2018) we used that bike path a lot and there was no sign of construction in that area.

On another subject - I thought I read something about a trick or treat night(s) at FW, is there scheduled Trick or Treat night(s) at the Fort and if so is it just a single night or multiple nights during the Halloween season?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

That path will be closed for a few years because of the construction. The "Trick or Treat" night is one day on Halloween and it is a spectacular affair (if you like kids & candy)!!!!

Thanks for the reply Ed for your reply. Disappointing as we enjoyed the bike ride to Wilderness Lodge and told our son and family that the bike path was a Plus for staying at the Lodge when we are staying at FW.

So that leaves the boats for traveling between the two locations. I believe if memory serves me, the smaller boats runs between FW, WL and the Contemporary. Does that run from FW to WL to Contemporary, or the opposite direction (WF, Cont, WL)? We have a breakfast reservation at Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary at 7:45 am one morning and I need to figure how long it will take us from FW to get there?

Your trip is getting close! Ours too (Arrive Sept 7th)

The short answer to your boat question is... Yes.

I resort boats will actually run both clockwise (FW/WL/CR) and counter clockwise (FW/CR/WL). When only 1 boat is running, I have never figured out what direction they run. One trip last year, they ran one way in the morning and the opposite way in the afternoon. During busier times, they will run 2 boats. My last trip (Sept 18), when 2 boats were running they were doing opposite rotations. We were waiting at CR for a boat back to WL and they both arrived at the same time.
