Well we have been talking TV (and TV hunks :teeth: ) but what about music? What are your favorite singers/groups to listen to while you work on you scrapping/crafting/cooking/gardening/DIY'ing"?

I'm stuck a few decades back. I love The Clash (RIP Joe Strummer). Queen (RIP Freddie Mercury), Pink Floyd (RIP everyone's brain cells after one of their concerts ;) ), Duran Duran, Supertramp, Styx. Probably the newest artist I like is Smash Mouth and that's only because they take so much after The Clash.

So what kind of music do you listen to as you work?

I would be a leftover from the 80's metal days--Poison, AC/DC, etc.

Also, I am a country music fan. . .but the more "bar" kind of country--not the "cry in my drink 'cause my wife/dog/house left" kind. I like Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and Blake Shelton. Wonderful singers, plus not hard to look at. . .are we sensing a trend here??? :thumbsup2

ML seems like you've got the hots for the dead and I am not talking the Grateful Dead! :rotfl:

I am with StitchIsOurHero on the 80's rock...and I like my music hard. Queen, Motley Crue (who I saw in concert in 1987), and Def Lepard.

My cell phone has been know to play "Pour some sugar on me".

I'm definitely an 80's girl....a little classic rock thrown in there now and then...and of course, some of the Disney CD's that my kids have. :thumbsup2
I do like some of the new stuff though, although I really don't know names/artists, but I can sing along to a bunch on the radio. :teeth:

Hey! I'm an 80's girl too!!
I went to see Montley Crew and White Snake in concert.. I've seen KISS in concert (why, I can't answer that... it must have been from the big hair days!!!)

I also love country music...
Of course in the van... on our way to our many practices, games, errands.. it's the DISNEY CHANNEL.. or High School Musical cd!

OOOOOOOH!!! You got tagged because of MCDREAMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

Okay, my music taste is very random. I go from classic rock, Styx, Skynard, Zeplin, Queen....
To old soft rock, Harry Chapin, old Billy Joel, old Elton John, Jimmy Buffet.

I don't really like much of the new stuff. It's okay, I've trained my kids to appreciate the old and they only like the classic rock station. :teeth:

Mine too. My DW just looks at me like I am crazy when my IPod is set on random. It will go from Buffet to AC/DC to Billy Joel to Goofy singing "Blue" to Sugar Hill Gang...of course, she can sing along with every one of the tunes as well as I can :)

Can't forget a healthy dose of Bob Seger.

I used to be into classic rock (and Bruce Springsteen is still my one true music love) but lately all I listen to is country music. You try being a country music fan in Boston - it just ain't done! My DH thought I was crazy at first and scoffed at my musical choices, but slowly but surely he's come around and we've even done the unthinkable - converted his 3 teenage daughters into country fans!

New England Eeyore--I'm glad we've won you over to the country music dark side. . .and you got a tag for it, too! :thumbsup2 However, I must insist that you give back Bradley Whitford who is also a member of my "dream man" list! I don't know what it is about him, but WOW! ;)

I absolutely LOVE Queen! They are one of my favorite groups and my favorite song is Princes of the Universe!!
I actually have a scrapbooking CD that I pop in whenever I am in my scrap room! Some of my favorites are:
Queen
The Who
Duran Duran (I am a HUGE Duranie from the 80's!)
Poison (Huge Poison fan, I've seen them 4 times in concert, love 'em!)
Styx
Kelly Clarkson
Ozzy Osbourne
Motley Crue
Slaughter
Fountains of Wayne
Arcadia
Martina McBride
Toby Keith

I will listen to anything! LOL I love music! :)

I'd be willing to share, since I also have Rob. ;) I don't know what I'll do after next month. Actually I do know - I'll wear my DVDs out! That is actually what my favorite scrapping "music" accompaniment is - my West Wing DVDs - I know them so well that I don't even have to watch them, I just listen.

When Bradley & Rob show up at your door, you just remember that Bradley is mine! ;)

I am going to have to try to sneak the West Wing DVD's into my scrap room. . .wonder if DH would miss them??? Shh, KAMommy, don't tell! :wizard:

Give me any one hit wonder from the 80's and I'm good to go! I'm a late 80's early 90's kind of gal. I mix it up though, I have stuff from Tesla's Signs to The Humpty Dance on my IPOD. Figure that one out! :lmao:

I'm a classic rock and alternative kind of girl. My fav's are the Beatles, Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones, Stone Temple Pilots, A Perfect Circle, stuff like that.

I love 80's music too, but only when I'm in the right mood. Actually, I like just about anything (except country or rap) but I have to be in the mood for it.

my kids know more KISS QUEEN and Motley Cure lyrics than I do I think

I like all music except for rap
never could get into that

I made a Mixed CD for my truck
and on it is

Queen
John cougar
Ozzy
Bryan adams
Greased lightnin (from the movie)
Guns N Roses
Bon Jovi
Toby Keith
Johnny Cash

You get the idea...........

Well, My tastes are both varied and narrow. Don't care at all for country or opera.

Have been a big, big, big Bowie fan since early 70's.
U2, Shakira, Sting, Billy Idol, Emmerson Lake and Palmer, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Beatles, Tin Machine, some singers that most people haven't heard of (Adrian Belew, Daniel Lanois, etc.), and to many others to name.

Celtic music - Enya, Clannad, Lorena Mckennet, Battlefield Band, and others.
