I don't get this idea of a lump of lettuce counting as a salad I've seen it on a few dining reviews. It looks awful and must be very difficult to eat.

Its a celebration!! My planning around dining reservations made this a Hollywood studios day... I was later kicking myself for that for 2 reasons

We started out with our snacks from the night before-Ty ate the entire bowl of fruit, P ate all the yogurt, I sat there looking hungry , I forgot to buy myself something!!!

We were off to Hollywood Studios and got on th Great Movie ride straightaway! Fun (trip report after dining)
When we got off a cart cast member saw Ty's button and gave him a Itzakadoodie (that can't be right) and he was so excited about that!

A few more rides and then off to our reservation at Sci-Fi
I LOVED THIS RESTAURANT!! and so did Ty, he liked sitting in the cars, P kept looking at me like "eat or ride, either way this needs to hurry up!"
Our server was Jeff from Florida who was very friendly, probably my favorite server from the whole trip!

I ordered 2 milkshakes-one for me -vanilla one for Ty-strawberry, I knew P didn't like milkshakes so I got him a sprite

didn't like it... I got a Sprite instead, it tasted artificial and root beer-ish
Jeff told me that since we were on the DxDDP they could get milkshakes because on the DxDDP the credits don't split kid and adult....well darn I could've used that info at Liberty Tree Tavern with my cheese sticks
I also should've used that info at Sci-Fi when ordering the apps, I got Spinach dip

the boys once again attacked my app! It was good, kinda soupy as I've read on here before but good
I've tried giving those greedy bums spinach dip before and they looked at me like I was trying to poison them... this time it was the best thing ever
They had tomato soup, neither touched it.
I ordered the turkey sandwich with fries

it was good, waaaay too big so I couldn't finish.
Ty got a hot dog (again) and scoffed it down, didn't eat the fries, he's not a big fan
P got a hamburger with fries (again) , he ate all the fries and ate at the burger.. this is a continuous trend
I got the peanut butter cake per Jeff's recommendation

it wasn't great, kinda dry ---I started thinking maybe Disney just wasn't the dessert masters after this - 3rd or 4th eh dessert.
The boys got ice cream sundaes (again), at this point P grabbed Ty's milkshake and finished it up for him, what are brother's for?!
This was a 4 out of 5 stars, loved the theming, great service, dessert...meh!
Ask for Jeff if possible!!

We went to a few more shows and rides and then went back to the hotel for a rest until Ty's celebration dinner at Garden Grill-Epcot....I originally planned for Chef Mickey's but after reading that it could be loud and busy I changed, my kids-especially P-- don't do well in busy environments so I figured this was a good alternative
Reason #1 why HS day was a bad idea:I found out something really important on that day-8 days of basic tickets does NOT= 8 tickets to use as I please, what it means is I can go to one park a day...I don't know how I missed that, I kind of assumed I had ticket credits and when they were gone they were gone..
so when we couldn't get into Epcot I was upset but went over to Guest Relations, explained the issue and they gave me a complimentary ticket Disney magic!
I had a hard time finding Garden Grill,I didn't realize the Land was a whole building so I walked past it expecting to find the restaurant outside... 20 minutes later after walking around the whole park, I figured it out (idiot moment )

We had to wait a while, but it was okay because that was my fault!
When we got called the boys were a little more hungry, our server didn't show for about 7 minutes , no drink orders no "I'll be right there" and then finally she came, she was nice she just seemed a little frazzled but I worked as a server while pregnant with P so I understood (sometimes I would literally forget tables until they complained )
I was sick of soda so I got pink lemonade, milk for Ty, apple juice for P
I handed our server some cake toppers (Buzz and Woody) I bought for Ty's bday cake and requested she put them on top of the cake--somewhere lost in translation she came back out with them on the boys cups --- but Ty still liked it,just not what I wanted

You may notice that Ty's shirt was wet, he had fun with the water fountain!
During this time the first few characters showed up, Chip and Dale! They were so cute

The look on P's face cracked me up, but he warmed up to them

We got bread with honey butter and salad which literally had everything-bacon, eggs, cucumbers, carrots, corn,tomatoes, someone help me out though is that frisee brown?!

P ate some bread, Ty was too busy with Buzz and Woody, the salad was sooo good, the dressing had a spice to it

Mickey and Pluto stopped by next, P really liked Mickey's gloves so he kept grabbing them, I was scared he would pull them off and ruin children's dreams everywhere but he didn't

Our meals came, mine was on its own plate since its just me

it had turkey breast, beef loin, fish, stuffing, smashed potatoes, cranberries, veggie medley-- smashed potatoes and beef loin were my fav , the fish was really thick and kind of dry, I read they used to have catfish and that would've been nicer to have

The boys had a platter

baked chicken legs, sweet potato fries, mac n cheese (with goldfish topping), steamed broccoli
Ty ate chicken and broccoli, P ate sweet potato fries --which he NEVER eats when I make them he also ate some salad
The characters came around again and P had a little more fun with them, Ty loved them all especially Pluto
After we were done our server asked about bringing out dessert, she brought out the strawberry crumble for me (not worth a pic)

--I requested a pirate ship mini cake at the podium and I saw it on the ticket but I had to ask her for it and she said she didn't know we had ordered it *sigh*
She brought it out, sang happy birthday and Ty was happy, I wasn't, there wasn't much fanfare... but that's okay I guess..he was still happy

He really liked the treasure chest and this was plenty for them to share, a small loaf,neither really ate it, I tasted it--tasted like enteman's
The kids menu has a Mickey Mousse but we didn't get that-not because I didn't ask for it but because our server just didn't bring it it was okay because I was ready to leave but still..
she was okay I tipped her with the cost of the cake(which she forgot to put on the check and I pointed it out), but looking back I don't know if she really deserved that big of a tip, she was nice but slow and this isn't a packed restaurant.
The character's stopped by AGAIN I was shocked because at CRT they came by once, but I liked that and so did the boys
P came at Mickey with a fork... but I think he didn't realize it was in his hand or what it could do, he just really wanted to see Mickey

Pluto was sweet he gave me a hug!!
This was our best character meal, the characters came 3 times and the food was good.It was like Thanksgiving Dinner, I know this gets mixed reviews but i'm not sure why its very relaxing and fun, I love family style meals because getting up to go to the buffets can be hard with two children.
4 1/2 out of 5 stars, 1/2 is lost because of service..

I LOVE it..
I have got to get my boys the same tees when we go next month. Except that my boys might want t-shirts that read "Don't let my mommy mess with you"

I got them from Target and HAD to have them when I saw them,
I think they'll wear them today because we're going to see some family who like to give me parenting quizzes

I'm in and loving your reviews! I'm reminded of our trip this time last year - we also stayed at CBR. We loved the sandwiches at Old Port Royale!

Thank you!! CRT was more for me but even I didn't enjoy it...maybe it was that it was dinner, maybe it just isn't good..at least I tried

me neither!! Especially since they gave me a dull butter knife to cut it .. I went to culinary school so I understand presentation BUT this does not work!

Definitely in! Glad to see a deluxe dining plan review with a 3 and a 5.5 year-old. My kids will be those ages when we go with the deluxe plan in a couple of months. Seems there will be plenty of learnings to share!

that plan was out, we ended up getting 2 sprites at a cart for 2 snack credits (bad mommy moment)

Ty's bday is 12/26 which we originally intended to celebrate in Disney but the price so I thought this was a good alternative and he loved the idea!! I think ive opened up a can of worms by introducing it to him!

OMG! We sat at the same table (2006) after YEARS of trying to snag a ressie there!...Water condensation dripping on the table when we were seated....We asked if we could move, and they picked up the table and moved it 2 inches!! Thus began a dinner where we laughed so much at the farce of it all that my DD6 (at the time,) fully clad in gown and Swvorsky crystal tiara, fell off her chair laughing! That place is less than enchanting.

Your boys are adorable, and look appropriately bored, but at least they can say that they dined there. Yeah, and we thought the food was lacklustre as well! You are an awesome mom to try make these memories for your little ones!

This was a big eats day
We had a 9:05 reservation for Tusker House this morning so we were off to an early start, there was an entrance specifically for Tusker House breakfast but either a lot of people had reservations or nobody saw the sign
We got to Tusker House checked in and waited for the buzzy thing confused to buzz...it did about 10 minutes later
there was a photo area with Donald but Ty didn't wanna take it so we skipped it and stood for the host like they told us to do! Unfortunately the people who didn't follow directions and went inside kept getting sat and I was still standing there like a fool. Finally a photographer saw me and got a host but it was an annoying couple of minutes!!
Our server was nice,she gave us some juice---which tastes just like V8 Splash and wished Ty a happy bday, she told him he could join the parade when it was time and then we were off to get our food, they called for the parade when we were up but my kids are laid back when it comes to stuff like that so we kept getting food
The boys got fruit, biscuits,eggs,sausage, and bacon-I sat them down and went back up to get mine
I got mealie pap,

which tasted like grits with cheese and onions.
potatoes,Mickey waffles (one for each of us), cheese blintze,hash with cornbread topping, biscuit with gravy...everything was good but im not a big breakfast eater so I picked at my food. P barely ate, Ty ate all his eggs and the biscuit
Our server brought a cupcake for Ty (which he got wrapped up and ate later)
she also brought him a card signed by all the characters which was nice!

P was once again acting scared of the characters, and then when Goofy went to another table he ran over right when they were getting a pic. I felt bad
We left soon after that and THEN Ty decided he wanted to take a pic with Donald I had to explain to him that it was too late and he chose that.

We got on two rides--honestly Animal Kindom wasn't worth two days-- and then got three frozen drinks Blue raspberry for the boys and frozen lemonade for me
Mine came out lumpy and icy because they said it was too frozen, they could've and should've redone it but NOPE!

After we did a Bug's life (that's not what it's called, that's the movie )and headed back to the hotel,on our way to the exit Ty wanted popcorn so I got two boxes and a sprite

We had a 6:10 reservation at Sanaa and I knew that required taking a bus to a park and then another to AKL
I was early this time for the first time EVER but the announcement on the bus that said "This is the stop for Sanaa" I missed and we kept going, I asked the driver where to get off and he said where we were..WRONG! I had to catch another bus which took 20 minutes...
We got there... late...but they gave us another buzzy thing and we sat on a comfy couch

We got called and seated but not near a window---no big deal---
our server was Sessler from Florida he was nice, a little slow, but we made our drink orders- 1 Mango Lassi, 2 berry smoothies

and I ordered apps,Bread service: Na'an, Onion kulcha, paneer paratha w/ red pepper simbal, cucumber raita, mango pickle chutney
and Samosas

(came with 2,but P snatched it as soon as it came but didn't actually want it)
Sessler told me the bread service counted as one app,and with this knowledge I should've ordered two or another app but I didn't wanna be greedy...I should've ignored that! The boys attacked the bread, I got a little it was all good!! Red Pepper simbal was my fav sauce
I LOVE samosas and these were really good!!!
For our meals:
I got Beef short ribs and shrimp curry-I asked for a little spice(it wasn't at all!)

It was good, the shrimp were HUGE!
P got Meaty Macaroni

He loved it!! I've never made this for him but I've got a new thing he likes
Ty got cheese pizza

They made it on naan and he told me it tasted better than the pizza I buy---new way to make pizza now!

While we were eating this was one of our views

I ordered the celebration dessert--the chai cream was my fav

the cake had an odd taste, I thought the world cup white chocolate piece was a cute addition!!-Ty ate that
The boys got chocolate cake and barely ate it

Ty wanted to eat his cupcake from breakfast but unfortunately the frosting stuck to the package so he didn't want it or anything else

Originally we had a reservation for Jiko but in an attempt to conserve credits I changed it a few days before leaving-I LOVED this restaurant,i'll try Jiko next time though!
