We've Decided To Relocate To Florida!

Matt, You are looking at the 2 most expensive area of Florida. Miami is pretty high as well. Central Florida is more reasonable.

We relocated to Florida 15 years ago this year and we have never regretted it! It is the BEST thing we ever did!

We lived in Rochester, NY for 6 years before our move and we just sold our house, quit our jobs and moved.

Of course, I will say that we moved in with my Mom for 9 months (she lived in Orlando) and my DH got a job within a month, and then I followed suit a while later. We built our own house and lived in Orlando for 5 years. Then my DH was transferred with the company (Eckerd Drug Co.) to Tampa Bay area, where we've lived for going on 9 years. I've worked for Eckerd for the past 7 years. (I wouldn't apply for Eckerd now, though, as JCPenney is trying to sell us and everything at Eckerd is very uncertain).

However, Florida is THE BEST! You wake up to the sun just about every day of the year and it's very uplifting.

How are the Tampa Schools. We live in Western NY. Our schools are fantastic. That's one of the biggest stumbling blocks for us. We would love to go South but our kids are in such a great program at school. I know they would adjust socially (they are in 1st, K and pre-K) but it's hard to leave such a wonderful school district.
