This morning after reading everything I could about accommodation etc over the past week I booked to go to DLP.
We will be arriving early evening on the 31st May and staying 5 nights!
Originally we were only staying 4 nights but it actually cost us more to fly home on the Sunday evening than to stay an extra night...so bonus.
Eventually decided to stay at the Holiday inn as it will be nice to have a pool as we know the parks will be very busy on the Saturday and Sunday as I think I’m right in saying its some sort of holiday for the French.
So our plan is to visit the parks on the Thursday, Friday and Monday. Hope to go into Paris and to the shopping place (not sure of the name) on either the Saturday or Sunday still undecided but staying at the holiday inn it means we can have a swim at the hotel when not busy at the parks.
Not sure yet as to what tickets to purchase thinking about two annual passports and two children’s 4 day hopper which means we can go into the park on one day of the weekend it we want to, again still undecided.
I have ordered my brits guide to Disneyland which should arrive soon!!
May try and get a copy of the maps before we go as well (eBay)
I will be back with questions over the next coming weeks although if you search can find answers to most!!!!!

Look forward to "talking" to you all soon

Liz great news :cheer2: Have a look at the useful information thread as there are scans of the park maps there that might be helpful.

I'll add your dates to the when are you going thread :)

Excellent!!! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to those questions!! :)

Lovely stuff.
I've been at that time twice (It's my girlfriends birthday on 31st May) and its lovely and warm at that time, so dont forget the suncream!!

English Half term then (as I'm sure that's why you're going) so maybe slightly crowded but you'll have so much fun

Great news I'm sure you'll really enjoy it :thumbsup2
I've just checked through our bits & bobs, ( I'm like a magpie collecting things when we're there) and I have a Disneyland Park Map you can have from our last trip, I don't think I have a Walt Disney Studios one, but I'll have another look. :goodvibes
PM me your address and I'll pop the map in the post. Don't buy them on EBay - it really annoys me when I see "freebies" for sale.

i think i have a few spare studio maps going spare, pm me to and i will scout around to see what we bought back, you can get the maps everywhere once you get there, and i am sure if you ring they would post some for you. but i will see what i have got.

:) :thumbsup2
Thank you Jill and Jane for the offer of the map it would be much appreciated (have pm you both)
I would like to familiarise myself where things are, times of the parades (althought I realize these will probably change) etc before we go.
Like to plan!

Liz
