Just put all our stuff away :thumbsup2

Stayed overnight at the Gatwick Hilton - no upgrade this time but a nice room anyway.
Ate at TGIs at the leisure park then the inlaws dropped us back at the Hilton.

Did bag drop last night & had a 5 min wait this morning for our boarding cards.

Great Thomson PE flight from gatwick :thumbsup2

We were about 40 mins late taking off with an extended flight time due to Irene - but arrived about 10 mins late in the end.

Great crew, great service & tons of leg room!! Food great too - tarragon chicken for lunch - very hot & tasty. Afternoon tea was 2 large rolls & scone/jam - no complaints from us at all :thumbsup2

We were out of the terminal within 20 mins of arrival :scared1: and spent around 20 mins at Budget just making sure all the paperwork was ok (were sneakily charged £50 extra by Alamo last year )

And we got a brand spanking new WHITE MUSTANG!!!!!!!!!!

it's fab but huge bonnet - I can't see the end of it!!!!! :rolleyes1

It's hot 28* or so but quite windy.

Off out to stretch our legs & to stay awake as long as possible

Wll try to keep you updated as we go along.

Oohh katie it doesnt seem long since u went last time. Glad u had good flights. Nice to feel that nice flirida warmth and feel tht humidity when you step off the plane. One of my fav bits.have a fab time and give us an update if u can.

Had a great day at Ak today.

After a great nights sleep (although the bed seems very narrow :rolleyes1) we were there for opening :thumbsup2

It was a lot quieter than our last trip in Apr 09 - No queues for anything :rotfl2:

It got very very hot after lunch so after a few photo pass photos (which i cant add via my ipad )with mickey & Pluto we went "home" via Walmart.

Just chilling now before dinner - going to go through some coupon books and then its a choice tonight of The Ale House or Joes Crab Shack - decisions, decisions!!

Just one minor point - the hotel as no kettles :sad2: so no tea unless I heat the water in the microwave :headache: which makes the water

They said "use the coffee maker"!!!! eEER NNNOOO!!
I hate my tea tasting like it's a coffee (I don't drink coffee!!!)
And no electric kettles in Walmart either:rolleyes:
Oh well :rolleyes1

Try Walgreens for an electric kettle. They cost $20 dollars

Thanks for the updates - keep them coming for all us that enjoy living out your holiday with you :goodvibes

Hope you find that kettle soon. I very rarely drink tea but it has become a bit of a tradition for me while away that I have a cup while sat by the pool waiting for everyone else to get ready.

Good start to your holiday - the flight with Thompson sounded good - haven't flown with them for ages.

Hope you enjoyed your tea (wherever you decided). Looking forward to your next update :goodvibes

Sounds like you're having a fab time so far.

We flew with Thomson this year for the first time and were happy with their service also.

Thanks for the updates :)

Good afternoon all.

Another scorcher of a morning here :)

We decided to go to Olive Garden last night - we had calamari to share, Andy (or mr C as I call sometimes call him) had lasagne (just about managed to say it wasn't as nice as mine... :rolleyes1) and I had the apricot chicken.
Mine was ok - really ordered it for the veg that came with it but they looked like an afterthought on the plate :sad1:
The best thing was watching the waitresses arguing (quietly) about the placing of a HUGE group - made a great watch ;)
We would rate it as 6/10 & about $45. - we thought it was it quite expensive for what we had:sad2:

SEA WORLD today via Sizzler and my first tea fix in 2 days :scared1::scared1: (I'm a gallon a day kinda girl.....)

After forcing myself not to tell the bloke parked next to me whose kids ran out in front of me as I parked that I am a police driver(:rolleyes1)as he made
a sarcy comment about bad women drivers..... We wandered over to the entrance.
Boy it was so hot this morning - everyone was seeking out the shade. (and I hate shade ;))
Journey to Atlantis was a walk on - and a first for us even though Andy spent the whole time telling me that we had been on it before and what the ride involved - funnily enough as we hadn't been on it before his description was ALL wrong :rotfl:

We did the Blue Horizons show which we loved - wasn't too fussed about it 2 years ago but loved it this time.
I had a frozen yoghurt and Andy had a soft serve as we took our seats at Shamu as the stadium opened. We got great seats right at the back but why does the bloke with the tallest top half & biggest head always sit right infront of you 2 minutes before the shoe starts :headache: and why does the bloke half way down have to stand up every time he wants to take a photo :headache:

We really loved the show & at the end Andy made a comment about how it was different to last time... -that something was missing.... I had to remind him it's because the trainers don't go I to the water anymore.... Men :rolleyes1

(we walked wild arctic - while I don't really have an issue on the whole with animals in captivity the polar bear & walrus "exhibits" I feel are now long overdue for closure :sad1:)
We don't really do roller coasters or simulator rides as we both suffer from motion sickness.
We had said we would do Kracken:scared1: but thankfully we were saved by the rain & made our way to Downtown Disney.
A shared sandwich from Earl of Sandwich (we live about 2 miles from the REAL town of Sandwich) later the rain had died down so we (well I) and our first shopping scouting trip.
Saw a beautiful necklace & earrings at the pearl stand. They lady got it out for us to have a look and at $599 for the earrings and $499 for the necklace that's all we did - look :rotfl:

My lovely hubbs is currently snoring away - it may be a takeout pizza for one later.........

See you all tomorrow

Sounds like a hot but busy day.

Never made it to olive garden yet - keep hearing mixed reports

We tried to get in a couple of years ago but it was an hour wait & it was also very busy last night so they must be doing something right!

The meal wasn't bad - I just expected - maybe wrongly - a lot more veg :rolleyes1 there were 3 very skinny asparagus spears, & about a small tablespoon each of broccoli & carrots :-(.
I had 2 chicken breasts & a plate full of apricot sauce (no chips or mash etc)

Andy had a huge portion of lasagne which he liked though.

I just thought it was expensive for what we had & we would rather have gone to the Ale House instead.

We won't be rushing back :rolleyes1

Just caught up with your updates

It sounds like you are having a great time :)

They do a 2 & a 4 door - just the 2 of us so a FAB 2 door for us :rotfl2:

Didn't see much of the weather yesterday morning. Went to KSC (and apart from trying to go right at a huge set of lights when I was supposed to go left :rolleyes1 we got there in one piece around 930 - car park was empty!

I know it's not for everyone but it was a great day - the 3D IMAX Hubble telescope film (not the Tom cruise one ) was unbelievable.

We did the bus tour and grabbed a lovely quick sandwich to share before the 2pm space station fiim - I think we both had a couple of shut eye moments during it :rolleyes1

It started to rain as we decided to leave & we headed down to Ron Jons at Cocoa Beach.
The rain/lightning was torrential & I was glad that Mr C was driving:eek:

After a whistle stop shop at Ron Jons as DH was hungry:rolleyes: we headed for home:)

Dinner at Bahama Breeze was lovely - as usual and we had our first alcohol of the holiday :woohoo: (our regular order is 2 diet cokes!!!)

Early ish to bed with an undecided plan of action for today.....

We decided to eat at Golden Corral as liked it a lot last time - however breakfast for 2 was nearly $20 so Andy decided he wasn't going to pay that much & walked out:headache:
So we tried Denny's - it was ok but the bill was over $20 and I had to  at DH!!!!

The weather had been a bit overcast so prior to breakfast shopping was the plan - however after breakfast it was boiling so we quickly nipped back to the hotel & then it was off to TL. (DH wanted to try Aquatica but didn't want to pay for the parking..... Can u see a theme here :rolleyes1)

It was PACKED!!!!!!

We just chilled, read our books & had a couple of trips round the lazy river.

Stopped for a shared Earl of Sandwich (again..) in the rain again.... And then off home to shower.

It's Cheesecake Factory time now ::cheer2:

See you later

Sound like you're having a great time! I'm also glad that you enjoyed the food in Bahama Breeze, we ate there for the first time this past July and I can't say enough good things about it! Our waitress was wonderful and the food was delicious! I can't wait to eat there again:goodvibes
