I read a lot of the rides in Islands of Adventure will get you wet. I want to know if ponchos give you enough protection or do you think that extra clothing should be taken along with us to change after were done???? Thanks.

I'm sure that a poncho would be fine on Jurassic Park, but on Popeye you can really get drenched. Ripsaw Falls wasn't open last month, but I seem to recall in the past getting pretty wet on that, too.

We usually wear swimsuits under our clothes. We can shed whatever clothes would be appropriate just before the ride and will then dry off quickly. Or you could wear clothes that would dry quickly and the poncho or, like you mentioned, bring a change of clothes. We wear water sandals.

Even with ponchos tucked in/under/around our bodies there were some rides were some of us got soaked. I believe it was Ripsaw Falls where I got drenched and others stayed dry. Definitely wear quick-dry clothes. We also wear water sandals.

Ponchos protect most on JP, some of Ripsaw, and not very well on Popeye...

I suggest a wet suit for Popeye. Sometimes I come off of that ride completely dry but other times completely soaked. Leafy was right in suggesting sandals. Your feet will be soaked and there's nothing worse than walking around in wet socks and sneakers.

We always take an extra change of clothing. It's much more convenient than wearing a poncho on the rides.
