Wet N Wild -Orlando

Thinking of doing a day trip in August. Has anyone been recently? Worth going to? We have kids 9,9 and 6. I see Undercover Tourist has discount tickets.

As an Orlando local, I HATE Wet and Wild. I personally would spend the extra money for either Aquatica, or Disney's water parks.

There is almost no shade! And it is strictly a typical water park.

If you have never been to one of the Disney water parks, try them. The only (potential) problem is it will ruin almost all other water parks for you forever.

I also dislike it. It's right off the street, you can see people waiting in line if you're in your car at the traffic light and there is no shade. If it's a typical summer day in FL you'll be burnt after a few hours.

I also had heard that they had many injuries there on a daily basis.

I'm going to dissent and say it depends on what you are looking for in your water park. My ds is now 13, and at 11 he found Aquatica beyond boring with not nearly enough rides to make it worthwhile. I got one of the lounge chair specials, and also found that less than thrilling -- but if you wanted to rent a cabana, that might be better. He also wasn't thrilled with the offerings at Typhoon Lagoon -- but he loves Wet n Wild -- he doesn't care about theming, he's all about the thrill rides.
