Dare I say, Wet N Wild looks very cool! Do you think its better than BB and TL?

Now I feel OLD. I havent been to W&W for 20 years. Could this be right? I was 16. Was it open 20 years ago? lol

too much concrete at W&W, love both tl and bb...relaxing and fun its the theming that helps.

TL is not fun when it's packed. I don't think there is a lot to do at TL, and the lounging areas are not well kept.

I love the theming at the Disney water parks but I thought Wet and Wild was awesome for an adult looking for a little extra although I have to admit that the big slide at Blizzard Beach might be the scariest thing I have ever done.

I can't vote because I am torn. I agree that the theming and ambience at the Disney Parks is far better but I like the rides and slides at Wet n Wild better.

Wet n Wild has been around for a long time. I went to Wet n Wild in 1988 for my senior trip. I'm not sure if it was brand new then though.

Wet 'n Wild was there for our first Disney World visit in 1977. I'm quite sure that it was brand new then.

As for the question, my preference is for Blizzard Beach. Great rides, great atmosphere and superior theming.

I have been to Blizzard Beach 4 or 5 times and love it. I went to Typhoon Lagoon for the first time last year and thought it was OK. I have been to Wet and Wild once and cannot wait to go again in October because of the thrills. I love Blizzard Beach and will always go there with my daughter but in October I'm on my own and love the thrills of Wet and Wild. If you are looking for theming go to Disney but if you want a rush you know what to do.

I didn't vote since I've only been to one of them. We went to typhoon lagoon and I wasn't that impressed with it. Maybe I'm a little disney obsessed but I would love if disney would make a disney character themed park. I thought the kid area at typhoon lagoon was just boring to look at although my daughter who was 2yo at the time liked the kiddie slide. Blizzard beach was closed on both of our trips sadly. If BB is closed on our next trip we will go to W&W since I'm not really interested in returning to TL.

For me, the wdw water parks win out for the themeing/ambience. I do wish TL/BB had more water rides though. Crush 'n Gusher was a big asset to TL....in addition to the unique snorkel lagoon. BB probably has the most unique themeing. I also feel they're slightly more family-oriented.

But W 'n Wild does win out with thrill factor and amount of rides they offer. The park just feels very generic to me.

My vote is for TL. Good theming and great wave pool. Last trip BB was just plain dirty! Leaves and lots of garbage in the pools and that was right at opening, so they obviously hadn't cleaned in a long, long time. There was a huge build up leaves plugging the vents at the bottom of the lazy river and they were slimey, so you knew they had been there for awhile! Lifeguards also were not giving any assistance to children or adults, getting in and out of the rafts, tubes etc. They appeared to be standing around talking to each other alot of the time. What a change from when this park first opened! My family was very disappointed as it just doesn't have that Disney feel anymore. On our one and only trip to W&W, I remember standing around in line waiting for the rides and thinking with the lack of theming, you could be any water park in any city. Nothing special really! When I visit Orlando: , I want to feel that something "special "from an attraction, that you can't find anywhere else!:woohoo:

I agree, Typhoon is my favorite because of the themeing, but Wet and Wild has GREAT slides. It is a lot of concrete and no themeing, but the park has some great options.

I have to vote Blizzard Beach. And I have to disagree that the lifeguards seemed uninterested. (although I know they are different ones every year). Last summer, we went for a day trip and by noon it started to rain. The closed the rides due to lightning strikes around. We had a table under a roof, so we decided to wait out the storm. Our 2 older children were very bored and disappointed about the rain. Several of the lifeguards came over and started playing with my children. They even allowed the children to bury all of them in the sand. It was great fun for all and created a truly memorable Disney moment. They never did re-open the park that day, but my kids still talk about the really nice lifeguards they met at Blizzard Beach. Oh and on our way back to the car in the pouring rain, we had 4 lifeguards carring towels over my DD 4 months old stroller all the way to the car.:goodvibes
