My 16 year old son wants to go to some water parks other than just going to Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. How are Aquatica and Wet n Wild?? How do they compare to Disney's two water parks???? We are going to be at Disney for about 9 days and we go to Disney often so the guys want to go off site to try these two water parks if they are worth going to. So the players are dh, ds 16 and ds 11. Thanks for any info.

My son absolutely loves water parks. We have been to so many through the years I can't even count. Aquatica is our favorite. Don't miss it! Is it clean, spread out so that even when it is crowded it doesn't feel that way, and has some unique experiences. For example,we loved Roa's Rapids, which is like a lazy river but has lots of fast moving water and geysers. Have fun!

Hi, I agree with the above, Aquatica is excellent, we went there 4 times last June and are planning for the same again this coming June. We really enjoyed going later in the day and staying into the evening, the water is really warm.

We also went to Wet n Wild a couple of times and really enjoyed that too. It's not as new as Aquatica, but the rides are great and so, I would recommend that too.

We are in Florida now..staying offsite and did Aquatica Thursday...we LOVED LOVED LOVED it...so much we're squeezing it in again Sunday before we fly home that night!! :goodvibes

I've never been to Aquatica - my friends all said they preferred Wet N' Wild to it because it was more thrilling. I love Wet N' Wild, it's my favorite water park here of all of them because of all of the thrill rides.

Wet n Wild is not nicely themed like Aquatica or the Disney waterparks but it does have some very cool slides.

Wondering this also. We usually go to BB, or TL. But this year we are doing the Orlando Flex Pass plus, which includes Aquatica, and Wet n' Wild. I have heard that Aquatica is nice and very themed, while Wet n' Wild is more about the Slides/Rides.
We will see this summer, we will be trying both!:cool1:

We went to Aquatica 2 weeks ago during our spring break. It was great and my kids (10, 8, 5 )loved it so much we spent 2 days there. Their favorite was Roa Rapids. It was super clean and we didn't have any waits for any of the slides. We would definitely go back again. We've never been to the Disney water parks.

If you have the time and the budget, you might want to do both. My 14 year old son preferred Aquatica to Wet and Wild, just gave him a great vibe -- pretty park / awesome lazy river to hang in plus fun slides. My 15 year old nephew and my brother liked Aquatica, but preferred Wet and Wild. They love the wide variety of slides and experiences there. I'm a fan of all the water parks (Disney and non-Disney). For me any of these make for a great day.

We get to Orlando a lot, so I often pick a waterpark based on pricing (e.g. Aquatica is an inexpensive pairing with a Sea World ticket (good combo price offered). Wet n Wild comes with the flex ticket if you're doing that. There is also a pretty inexpensive 14 day pass deal for Wet and Wild. Once when we were in town for two weeks in the summer and close to I-drive, I got this (I think it was only $50) and hit this park four times. It was by far by most economical option for hitting a water park that many days and a great way to go on that trip. Disney water parks can be added pretty inexpensively to Multi Day Disney tickets.) When I don't have any obvious deals and will only be hitting a waterpark for one day, I usually go to the water park I haven't been to recently.
