Westjet Rewards - name change

Has anyone changed their last name on their profile successfully?

I have travel credit sitting there as of two weekends ago (when the ice storm hit) but the WestJet agent advised me I had better correct my last name before I tried to book with it. He said he could not do it. I needed to log in and change it.

I'm not sure how I signed up with my maiden last name (as I had been married for a few years by then) but I did. All my ID, including passport, is in my married name.

I logged in to try, but I am not allowed. I e-mailed a week ago but no one has responded.

When you log on to your account and go to member info... there is a "?" beside the last name field that suggests contacting "rewardssupport@westjet.com" (which you mention you'd contacted by email to no avail" to change your last name. Barring that I would suggest calling and asking to be directed to a supervisor immediately. I know with Aeroplan we had a typo for a birthdate and we had to submit ID for them to make the change. I'm guessing 1st line support doesn't have the info to help you.

When I booked our flights a couple of weeks ago I ha had to call and have them fix my name. They had my middle initial added to my first name.

The lady in reservations changed its for me and I had her book my flights while I was on the phone with her. Try calling again I’ve gotten different answers for the same question.

Thank you. I going to try phoning WestJet again today. I wonder if I'm going to need to dig out our marriage certificate. Heck, I wonder where the darn thing even is now! lol

Phoning worked great! I explained and the CSR was able to change my last name with no problem. She even remarked that was an easy phone call for her!

I'm happy I did not need to run around the house digging up our marriage license.

I have absolutely no idea where my marriage certificate ended up... good thing I never changed my name so I never need it lol
