Just read an article that WJ is changing seating on thier planes by adding premium rows. They will make the other seats in other rows smaller. Do not know is this is a good thing! I always liked WJ because they treated everyone the same. Have to wait and see.

They're going to reconfigure the pitch on the remaining seats to match industry standards. I doubt it will make much difference really and I like having the option of a little more space myself...:confused3

Delta has the same thing with premium seating. I booked it for our Feb flights just to see what it is all about, especially if we do a longer flight in the future.

United has had this as Economy Plus for a while now. For me, the big perk is not having to move when someone in your row needs to get out of their seats. Generally, there is enough room for them to squeeze by.

For me it's worth it for flights over 3.5-4 hours long. Maybe not so much on shorter legs. Prices are connected to length of flight; longer=more expensive. Now, having said that, I have been booking the extra room seats for all legs of my flights lately. Age, maybe. :)

I agree, I'm not a fan. We flew WJ twice last year, once Ottawa-Calgary then again Ottawa-Tampa, and found there was lots of space in the cabin. I'm not willing to pay even more for airfare, so I guess AC is going to start looking better, especially since they have more options if flights get cancelled.

We are flying WJ to MCO for the first time in a long time. We usually fly AC but they never offer direct flights in the summer and WJ does. Dh insisted flying direct this year. The price was cheaper with WJ also. Hopefully no wonky changes lolz.

I just went and had a look at my WJ itinerary for our upcoming flights and we're listed as "PREMIUM" even though we didn't book that way and we booked before this announcement was made.

Also, we aren't in the first four rows which is where the premium seating is supposed to be. :confused3

Ah well, I guess we'll find out when we get there!
