I am a DVC owner who has available to trade for DVC points a 2BR villa at Westin Kaanapali for the week of August 13-20, 2005. This is a premium timeshare resort widely regarded as one of the finest in Hawaii and compares favorably with DVC in terms of quality and amenities.
I will trade this villa week for 350 non-distressed DVC points, which equals one week in a 2BR at a prime DVC resort during Magic season. While DVC can track down a trade in Hawaii for marginally fewer points, they cannot get you a unit of this quality through Disney. Westin's 2BR Hawaii units (similar to Marriott's) are virtually never deposited into Interval International, and the few units deposited are not available during school vacation periods.
The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas is on the beach, has a phenomenal pool complex, and offers spacious, richly appointed two-bedroom vacation villa that includes the quality appointments that distinguish Westin around the world. All bedrooms feature a Westin luxurious Heavenly Bed® with layer after layer of cozy down bedding and some of the world's finest linens. Living rooms include an entertainment center with remote control color television, DVD player and stereo system.
Each 2 BR villa is 1400 square feet, accomodates 8, and features two sleeper sofas, living/dining area with service for ten, breakfast bar with seating for two, a fully equipped kitchen, King-size bed in both bedrooms, Bed linens and towels for eight, large shower, deluxe whirlpool tub, a private lanai with outdoor furniture, blackout-lined drapery, and two telephone lines with voice mail and data ports. Guests can use the facilities at the Westin Maui for a change of pace.
