I'm a novice with II. Can you explain what all of that means. It appears to be openings at the resort with some different time slots. What are all the numbers and if I wanted to go to Hawaii next April what are the options that shown here? Do you then call MS when you find one that want?

Good queations.....The dates listed are the check-in, check-out days

The first number is for how many bedrooms
The second number is for private sleeping capacity
The third number is for maximum occupancy

0 2 4 is a studio

1 4 4 is a one bedroom

2 6 8 is a two bedroom unit

The units listed above are in a 72 holding period, where only Starwood owners can exchange for them. After 72 hours they are released to the rest of II for exchanges.

This gives us DVC members a good idea when these dates could be available if you have an ongoing search.

The rooms are for next year and right now they are in the Westin/Starwood priority period. That means for the next 72 hours only other Westin/Starwood owners can exchange for them. But they will be available Thursday to eveyone else to exchange.

What I was referring to is not being able to bring up the II short stay search page at all! I know several others were having the same problem, and I tried some of the suggestions to get it to work . . . I still can't get it to work

I would love to just browse the search site to see what's out there. However, I get the same old resorts page that just tells you about the resorts you can trade into . . . no booking feature

I have the same problem, but when I log in under my sisters name I can get it. So I know it is not not my computer.. I have I no idea why..

The numbers are the unit size (0 is a studio), then the private occupancy then the total occupancy. An OKW 2 BR would be a 2/6/8. If you want a unit you put in an ongoing search yesterday and ask for that. It's unlikely these units will make it out of the starwood priority period and if they do, it's likely it'll be the studio size only. But you never know so give it a try.

They may still be under Starwood preference. If they are out of preference, they probably have been snapped up by ongoing searches/early birds.

It wouldn't hurt to enter a search just in case, but these have been posted for several days on other timeshare sites, and as I understand it II works on a first-come-first-served basis for ongoing requests. When these come up, it's best to act fast.

Can you explain exactly where/how you found this info?? If I could go to II's website and check on places that become available for the periods we want to travel, that would be awesome. Other than the short stays, I didn't realize we could check II's possible availability.

I think, you misunderstood. Tom has another non-DVC timeshare that allows him to do searches on II. DVC does not allow that. Sorry..

He was trying to let you know they had some units available and hoped they would make it out of the Starwood preference period but they did not. So, other Starwood owners got the exchanges.

Correct. I try to give DVC members an idea of when Westin Hawaii and Atlantis units make it to II. These are two of the more requested resorts that I see DVC members want to trade.

I think it's great you posted this info. Being west coasters we will at some point probably try and trade for Hawaii and the Westin would be our top preference. Appreciate you taking the time!
