My moms BF has a timeshare here. He offered his week to us. We wouldn't have to pay anything and it is for a week in a 2bd rm villa. I know that there have been some issues here about this resort concerning the timeshare presentation. That doesn't apply to us.
I would just like to here some opinions about the resort itself. Like, is it clean, nice, the service good?
We are use to staying on property at deluxes so this is what we would be comparing it to. We were just offered this so it is an option and did I mention it is free!!:D We were going to rent points for a DVC but we are tempted by this offer.
We would have our car, so we don't care about transportation.
All opinions are welcome!
Thanks

Which Westgate--Villas, Lakes or Towers? I wouldn't stay at the Villas for FREE EVER EVER again.....haven't stayed at Lake.

Um, it is the Vacation Villas:(
Please explain why you would never stay here again.

If you do a search (when it comes up) you can find my post Westgate Woes. Basically I traded into Westgate Villas from RCI....they first put us in a dirty, old unit (checked in Sunday--still had newspapers from Friday laying around). REFUSED to move us until I was standing in the lobby bawling my eyes out and literally screaming at the people at the front desk (who don't speak English well to begin with); (nephew described that first unit as ghetto); was not required to do the tour but they called daily about it anyway; our other family--OWNERS there but switching from their own week--had over 10 people with them and they tried to put them into a ONE BEDROOM unit. Same deal--had to stand in the lobby ARGUING to get a move. Oh yeah--the sleep 8 unit only fed 6 people at a time and that was ONLY if EVERY plate and utensil was clean--had to eat in shifts (thankfully only had one dinner and breakfasts were staggered anyway with showers and stuff)

I own at the Villas. I have never had a problem with the resort. My unit has always been clean, any missing items or problems were taken care of immediately.

Yes, they are a pain when it comes to trying to get you to buy, but just tell them no from the start.

If it were me, I would go and stay there.
