We are going to stay at Westgate Town Center for 9 days. Anyone knows how good or bad is the hotel? some people say it was horrible staying at Westgate resorts.
How is the traffic going to Disneyworld?

Never stayed, but I suggest that you use the search feature here, to check out this forum.

:o Have stayed at Westgate several times. It is a great resort with many things to do (when not at disney). It gets bad press because of the "tours" they want you to take to "discuss maintenace" which really means "buy a timeshare". Just tell them when they want you to book a "maintenance" meeting that you will call if anything is wrong and you are on holidays so are not interested in attending any meetings. Then don't book one or if you do just don't go. Be rude if necessary (trust me they are used to it) and enjoy your trip.

if you are talking about Thanksgiving week - Nov 20 - Nov 27 - then be aware that WDW had make the MK hours longer - much longer it will now close at midnight each night.

So if MK is on your list be prepared to come early and stay. If I am right (my record is not even close to prefect) -- MK will close to off-site guests around 11 am (might be earlier) - if there are indeed this many people coming to it.

Thank you everyone for the input.

Iluvflorida, do you know what supplies they will provide i.e paper towel, soaps, towel, spices, laundry detergent etc?

Is there any elevator at the westgate town center?

I've stayed at the Town Center twice in the past 3 years. It's very nice, much newer than some of the other Westgate resorts like vacation villas. They are "high rise" buildings, about 6-7 stories, if I remember. The apartments had starters on everything, paper towels, dish detergent, etc. You might want to pack extra detergent, laundry soap etc. if you'll be doing a lot of cooking/laundry.

It's very easy to get to WDW from there, just a couple of minutes to the main entrance.
