I moved this from the review board, since I posted it in the wrong place...sorry.

Is anyone familiar with these properties?

I need to choose from one of these properties for my December stay, as I will loose the week if I don't. So, no staying on property this time. :sad1:

My trip does revolve hanging in the Disney parks for the most part (duh!). I don't want to be too far from the action.

I've stayed at Westgate Vacation Villas and would prefer not to stay there again. I will, if it is the closest/easiest.

And if I'm not mistaken, I think Westgate Towers is on the same property. I know all about their sales pitches and they will not be bothering me.

I did a search on the forum, but it didn't tell me much.

The properties:

1. Westgate Blue Tree, 12007 Cypress Run Road, Lake Buena Vista
2. Westgate Lakes Resort, 10000 Turkey Lake Road, Orlando
3. Westgate Leisure Resort, 6950 Villa De Costa Drive, Orlando
4. Westgate Palace, 6145 Carrier Drive, Orlando

5. Westgate Towers, 7600 U.S. 192 West, Kissimmee
6. Westgate Vacation Villas, 2770 Old Lake Wilson Rd, Kissimme

Thank you!

I stayed at the Westgate Blue Tree last August. I felt it was easy to get to the parks from here. It is near the Crossroads shopping plaza.

I have friends who recently stayed at Blue Tree and really liked it. We stayed in a studio size unit at the Town Cener and liked it alot but I didnt see it on your list..

I stayed in Town Center last year. It was VERY NICE!! Not 5 star but very nice! Vacation Villas/Town Center are now one in the same basically. If you do have your choice of Westgate resorts then I would call and ask for a reservation in Town Center. I think they are the nicest in that area. I will be staying at the Lakes for the first time from 7/24 to 7/31. Therefore, I do not have any info on the Lakes until I return. I will come back and post comments. Some say the Lakes are nicer some say Town Center is nicer. I will let you know. But I can say if you reserve at Town Center you will not be disappointed. I don't think any of their units are "worn out" or "run down". I stayed in building 5200 when I was there and my patio faced the pool which I loved!! All of their patios are screened in so you can enjoy it and not have issues with bugs and mosquitos. I really dont think you can go wrong with Town Center but you will have to request it. The Towers share the same property/facility but I dont think they are as nice. They seem a little disconnected from the grounds. I say go with Town Center.

Westgate Blue Tree - it is probably the closest to WDW.

It is much better area than Westgate villa - you can easily walk to places

I do want to stay closest and most convenient to WDW. I may see if I can use google maps to see it visually....

Blue Tree has the best location for easy access to the parks, DTD and local services. It is a middle of the road resort in quality but the location cannot be beat.

I called and left a message to book Blue Tree. If not, Vacation Villas will have to do.

I'll call back this afternoon and see if I can get it all set-up.

Thanks everyone!!!

Blue Tree booked! :thumbsup2

I hope I'm going to like it! I'll continue to research the reviews and make a request where I want to be placed before I leave.
