Hi - has any one taken the Sunset Cruise on the schooner. We are thinking about it but don't want to miss dinner either (we have the late seating). Will we be back in time for dinner. Also (and this may sound dumb) - but do you sail after dark? It kind of seems a waste to sail at night and not be able to see the sights.

Any help will be appreciated

We took the daytime schooner and it was okay - we only went out a little off the shore - did not see any dolphins etc - it was
a beautiful day and we enjoyed the sail but it took so long that
when we got back we missed walking around KW in the afternoon. The town was just too crowded and we decided to
head back to the ship. We are going on 2/28 western again
and this time we will spend our day in KW roaming around.

I was on the Western 10/11 and I watched some of the schooners coming back in. They looked like they were having a GREAT time and those boats were beautiful. I could not tell if they were on a Disney excursion or not.

I was watching the sunset from my balcony and it was after the first seating -- I would guess around 7:15 to 7:45. Sounds like you may be able to get back for late seating.

This is something I am going to check out for my next adventure.

The Key West Western Union Sunset Sail starts at 6PM. That is the time you will meet with your group. The total time is about 3-3.5 hours. That includes your meeting, traveling to the ship, the sail and getting back to the Magic. Yes, you will miss your 8:30 dinner time. I went on this and enjoyed it, the sunset while sailing on the Schooner is beautiful! They serve beverages, including wine for the adults. If you have ever sailed, it is great fun.

those going to Key West are most welcomed to all the free pamplets, booklets, coupons etc that I have that does not cost you anything but the envelope and stamps to have them sent to you - there are no catchs and nothing in it for me - since Key West is mine and Norm's hometown, I just want to make sure that you have all information in hand including a map.
Norm and I leave for Key West this Thursday and will be bringing a whole bunch of new stuff back and its to share with you.
I wish each and all a wonderful time while planning their cruise.
Always
Shirley
