I have long since awaited the double bonus points and I use now my AMEX card for 2 percent at grocery stores. Instead though of buying Disney gift cards Ibought Target. Then went home and purchased Disney gift cards with my target gift cards ON LINE using the red card as my default card b/c it takes another 5 percent off the price however before I hit submit I use the icon that says Pay with Gift card, yet the 5 percent still sticks.
I bought 3,000 in gift cards last night! Problem is target only processes 150 per order this way so I plan to do 1k in Target and the other 2k where straight Disney Cards.
So if you think of a 100.00 gift card you are saving 14% buyng them in Giant in free gas and the 2 percent amex bonus THEN you are turning around and saving another 5 percent at target. IT is like a 19 percent pin.
THEN I load these into my Disney vacation online account and for each 1k in there it will trigger a 20 dollar gift card.
so all of this equates to 21 percentn off (including the bonus from Disney vacation account). We are doing an ABD Trip in Julyand WDW in April so believe me 21 percent is huge to me right now!!!! LOL!
