Western Caribbean Cruise Weather and Water Temp

We are planning a Disney Western Caribbean Cruise for January 2006. Can anyone who has experience in cruising at this time of year give me some insight on the temperature and weather temps? Also the main reason for booking with Disney is to go to Castaway Cay. I heard there have been problems docking there, is this true? And is the water at Castaway warm during winter months? Thanks!

We did the Eastern in January of '04, so I can't comment on anything other than the water temp at Castaway. It was a bit on the cool side, but it didn't bother me. The sun was shining, no breeze to speak of and it was very nice.

We had great weather and no problem docking, but it's impossible to predict from one day to the next what to expect, much less one year to another.

The bad part was coming home to burst pipes that had frozen while we were cruizin'.
