Our DCL gift was a SHORESIDE SURVIVAL KIT with three 6 x 8 pictures done by Ducky. Mickey and Minnie on the shore, Goofy and Donald running to the water and I forget the third. We liked the Mickey and Minnie so have that as a magnet on the inside of our front door. I gave the other two to a friend with some other pictures and photos of someone's decorated door so her daughter can make magnets for their WONDER cruise next week.

Jan :earsgirl:

we got that yesterday too, but there was nothing in it but a letter and a postcard trying to get my friends to book a cruise. Wonder why they are sending out such different items to different people?! :confused3

I must have had his faced logged in my brain from pics you posted of your previous vacation to Mexico. I thought when I first met you it was without your family, but maybe I had seen you together and knew in the back of my head that I actually did know him. You know how it was on the cruise everyone started looking so familiar after a while. I should have just said hi and introduced myself and then interrogated him about who was his family!

On the other hand, why don't you hop on a plane and I'll give you a crash course in speaking - I've been training speakers (mostly comics) for 16 years now. I can make you a great public speaker complete with hand movements, greetings and coordinated visuals and humor all at the same time!

If you had stopped Scott he would have chatted away!

You never know...I'll see how I do with this one. After not having power last night, I have still done nothing on the presentation so today and tomorrow are crunch time! wish me luck

11pm here on the HOT East Coast. I am so tired. My mom is doing badly. My brother and I spent an hour on the phone trying to figure out what to do.

This morning with all her clothes on and her sneakers and sweater, she weighed 85.5 pounds. She is down now 12 pounds since I left for vacation. It was 100 degrees here today and she would not take her sweater off....

She will not come out of her room anymore. Her teeth are falling out and she will not let me take her to a dentist. I took her to the doctor and she has to see a GI doctor...which she refuses to do. I took her for x-rays today and those results should be back tomorrow. I can't help help if she does not want to help herself.

It is just so sad. I hope I learn from this.

Lisa   what a difficult time this must be for you and your family.

Thank you Ian ...

All that talk about the Wii Fit and Shannon decided she wanted a Wii. so this weekend we went looking for one here in Quesnel and we came up empty.

So today I had to go to Prince George for work and got to spend my lunch hour looking for a Wii. Got one but there was no luck on the Wii Fit.

so tonight we've been playing the Wii Sports package. Watching my DD3 do the boxing was hilarious. Shannon is just happy because in the first level of Boxing it took me all 3 rounds to knock the guy out. She did it in the first few minutes of Round #1.

Time to go back and practice!

Good luck on your search Ken! I have been actively searching since I got home with no luck :( One guy told me the Wii Fits are selling out quicker than the systems originally did. UGH. I need one by Friday night for Jaide's birthday party...but at the very least by Monday for her actual birthday. I'll put out some pixie dust for us all!!

Good for Shannon on the boxing...watch the arms though...mine were sooooo sore the next day after I first played that one, :lmao:

Deb, are you OK? I've never seen just a one word post from you.

Ha Ha.....very funny.....I'm really not feeling well.....I had the cruise crud with the coughing and the head and the chest and when that just about cleared up I got a tummy bug. I'm running in the bathroom all day today and nothing but water is coming out. YUCK!

So I may be a little off on my posting lengths today. Gotta get better though because I'm going to Virginia Beach on Friday for my nephew's graduation..... 3 more days.

So the Tortola list is:

Woody
Connie
Ian
Deb
Jackie
Cheri
Kathe
Monica
Vicki
Leslie
Donna
Lynnise
Mandy

Is that everybody? That's a good list already! YEA!

You have had it rough since the cruise Deb. I do hope you feel better pronto!!!

Yeah, it's called the "Runner's Package" because as soon as they see you doing it you'll be running from security! :rotfl2:

It's a special Disney price of only $4500 which includes:

Parking (extra charge of $9.00)
Offciate (extra charge of $150)
1 night stay in Disney jail (extra charge of $200, plus tip)
Wedding photograph posted around the park for all security employees to see ($100)
A greeting with Mickey Mouse where he punches you in the gut and tells you "Hi ya pal! Get off my property!" (extra charge for medical expenses)

:lmao:

Goodmorning all, Well, I filled up my car for $4.49 pg yesterday and almost died when it hit $70. 2 blocks away it was availble for $4.79, two blocks the other way was $4.37 and I wanted to kick myself because I could have saved $1.20!:rotfl:

We filled up the motorhome Sunday at 4.03 (or maybe 4.07??) $269 dollars later...... But, it is a BIG tank!

Good job on the more walking! I'm hoping Shannon gets a new job and we move to Prince George so I can either walk or ride my bike to work.

I kinda expected the "short falls" for the Wii Fit after listening to your description of it. Not sure why Nintendo does it, but they do and it has become a regular SOP for them. Especially up here in the remoter areas. I did speak to the Managers of the various stores, but because they are all chains, they have no idea what will come in and when - that is all determined by a larger office in a larger centre (read: Vancouver or Toronto).

We'll get one eventually. Our local Wal Mart still can't even keep the consoles in the store for any length of time - let alone a Wii Fit.

We had some fun with the Wii Sports last night. Shannon thoroughly kicked my butt at Boxing (that is until I moved the sensor bar to the top of the TV rather than below it). Just playing those games is a workout in and of itself.

I also picked up Wii Play because I wanted an extra Wiimote so we could play two players and it was cheaper to buy the game which came with the remote than to just buy the remote itself. Haven't opened it yet but a co-worker (who is in her 60's) was telling me how much she loved each of the games in that package.

I'm guessing I won't get much accomplished this weekend!

Last week I bought a charge station for our Wiimotes. It comes with rechargeable battery packs that replace the current battery, and a dock/charging station that plugs into the USB port on the Wii. The only downside is you can't use the rubberized Wiimote jackets, but that doesn't make much of a difference to us. Nice part is not having to replace batteries.

I also saw on Amazon, they now have a rechargeable battery pack for the Wii Fit balance board too.

**Funny Thought:**
SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES. THEY'RE NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

So our 1st appt with the psychiatrist for Tyler is 6/24 and the other 2 are the end of July, then we'll only need to go for med checks. And his dad told me recently that we should question the doctors because "they could be wrong" since he never sees any of these issues the school reports. :headache: Sure....EVERYBODY is wrong except him. Whatever. He can express his concerns to the doctor. I sure won't because I don't have those concerns.

And I have my first appointment with the migraine clinic July 8! I'll be seeing the neurologist for evaluation.

We did a city tour through DCL by bus, can't remember what it was called, maybe Ian will remember because he was on the same tour. We first got off the bus in the center of town and had a little time to walk around to see the sculptures, then did a walking tour to a church, then back on the bus for a beautiful ride along the coast, a stop to see where "Night of the Iguanas" was shot (but I never saw the movie), then to a little village (can't remember the name) to a restaurant, then to a shopping area on the way back. I loved it!

More pics coming, but I'm more into watching Lost at the moment. ;)

I'm sure he'll answer.. but if he doesn't... it was the Puerta Vallarta City Tour :)

Even more PV pics!

Michelle & her mom showed up in this pic

Ya know Holly...it's amazed where I will show up!!!

{QUOTE=nskjerven;25577293]Mon, I'm on the one 2nd from the left, Paul is next to me and there appears to be an empty one on my right, nope sorry it has a reserved note on it, oh look it says reserved for Monica, I think you might just be filling up some CC water bottles, remember mine is the cucumber ;) see ya in a few minutes :lmao:[/QUOTE]

Hey... save one for me!!!! ;)

Have to remember that I'm now off my temporary steriods now which almost made me feel normal.....the tiredness has set back in and the pain and the swelling.

Oh But Marilyn......it was SO worth it......I had such an awesome trip.....two weeks on the boat, 5 days in California, an overnight in Vegas. What more could I ask for.......but to make more reservations. I just booked car and hotel for the beginning of Oct.....the cruise we had to cancel. Our friends from our first cruise, kat and schmitt, will still be on that one and they'll spend some time in WDW afterwards so we'll meet them there instead. We won't fly again. The airport in Vegas threw out a full tube of Elemis Tan Accelerator......that stuff is not cheap. They let it go through in the Allentown leg of the flight.....no problem......and they weren't even nice about throwing it out in Vegas.

We rented a convertible on this end and will stay in Staybridge Suites again, but in Orlando. We love that one. It's newer and has a nicer pool then CA. We already have 4 days left on our WDW cards.....so we could hit a park a day with Kat and Schmitt.....a little minnie mouse vacation to withdraw from Mickey. We love Epcot.....that's our favorite.

Looks like things are moving for you and Tyler. I thought it was women who changed their minds, but Tyler's dad is quite an expert.

The airport security folk can sure be over authoritative(?sp) :confused3 Glad you are getting some time at WDW for some fun with friends.
