I didn't get any pics of the actual performance in the water. I was too busy watching myself.

However, I did get some of the "post performance", and I'll post those next.

Cheri, it is an animated .gif file. Just right click on the pic posted and choose "save as".

oooppss... Forgot you were a Mac user. I'm not sure how it works then. Pj? John?

I can save it, and if I double-click the file on my desktop, it opens up the first image in the series. Then if I click on "drawer", a window slides out on the right side and I can see thumbnails of all the other images in a column. If I click on one of the thumbnails, it shows up in the main window so I think all the images in the sequence are saved. But if I import the .gif file into iPhoto, I only get one of the images, not all of them.

I figured out a really cumbersome work-around (saving a grab of each photo in the series one by one, then importing them into iPhoto, but it seemed like there must be an easier way.

Also, people are posting these .flv movies from their Photobucket accounts, but I can't figure out how to copy and save them. I have a couple of different flash video saving links (like Keep It!) that I can use on YouTube videos, but they don't work on the Photobucket videos.

Can you help me with this?:worship: :worship:

I wish I could but I got lost in your description. I haven't used a Mac since 1990, let alone even looked at one.

As for the .flv videos, I'm not sure. I haven't tried to save any. I'll have to go back and take a look and see.

Post Performance pics:

After the performance by the "water dancers", they were all up on the edge of the pool.

I believe our friend here won Mr. Congeniality.
145538.jpg

Oh, I hope I don't get into trouble for psoting these pics as I see our friend here had a Justin Timberlake/Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction ...

145545.jpg

But then the wardrobe malfunction got worse ... MUCH worse...

Cheri,

I was able to save a .flv file from Photobucket. However, I do not have player on my computer that can play such files.

In order to save the file I went to the Photobucket page (I'll use one of Holly's as an example here). Keep in mind this is from a PC perspective using IE7 as web browser.

http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a14/hollyntyler/?action=view&current=P1000895.flv

In the address area, I removed the "?action=view&current=" section. This left me with the following:

http://s8.photobucket.com/albums/a14/hollyntyler/P1000895.flv

When I hit enter, my computer popped up a dialog box asking me where I wanted to save the file. I chose my location and promptly saved the file. I then tried to open the file with my various players, but none of them could open it.

I went to Wikipedia and did a search, which showed me a few different players I could download to watch the video. According to Wikipedia it should be convertible into other formats as well. I haven't tried any of the players or even bothered trying to convert it to a different format, but here is the link to the Wikipedia page if you are interested.

I know it's not much help, but hopefully it is a little bit or at least points you in the right direction.

Ken,
YOU DA MAN!!!:worship:

It wouldn't work in Safari (Mac browser), but it worked in Firefox! How did you know to do that?

In my excitement I forgot to add that I have an application that converts flash video to mp4, so all I needed was the .flv file. Thanks!!!

Long post of pics alert!

I am totally surprised that I haven't seen these pics posted on here yet. So I guess I'll do the honours.

Gotta love it, remember when he said he was picking up Sophia at dance, I think he was up to something there himself....John please come and defend yourself, we may need the green speedo man again.:duck:

Hi Nan!:yay:

Has John posted since we got back? I'm kinda out of the loop here. Have we heard how his brother is doing?

Today I thought I saw Shannon at Wal-Mart but when she turned around it was someone else...... darn...... I miss familiar faces.......

Jan :earsgirl:

I saw Kathe yesterday - 2 stone heavier, but still Kathe.;)

Oh, I also have another appointment. Next Monday I have an appointment with my advisor at school to try to figure out what my options are for going back. :thumbsup2 Thanks to st. john's wort, and a 2 week vacation to clear my head, I'm finally ready & able to get back to straightening out my life and trying to get back to where I need to be, or if I still want to go in the same direction. So many changes happened (and are still happening) so quickly, I'm not sure which direction I should head. But at least I'm able to start thinking about it and getting back on track. :goodvibes

Great news Holly.

Who else was expecting THIS for dessert?

Me too. I thought it was a joke by our server at first.:confused3 :lmao:

This just cracked me up! I've never seen a mountain of luggage like this!

P1000932.jpg

:scared1: Nice and tidy I see and they obviously take excellent care of our baggage!!!

Does that belong to Nan??

:rotfl2:

Ok who else was looking into that pile and trying to see if they see their luggage?

Me.:lmao:

If this is for an animated gif, you need to use an application for viewing it that can handle that, otherwise, you will get the series of photos or "frames."

To view an animated gif you need to open it using either Safari or Firefox.

Ken, thanks for posting those photos of John's performance! And your comments were too funny! What a great way to start the day! :rotfl: :lmao:

I can't see them here at work - will have to see them tonight at home

Goodmorning all, Those picture are cracking me up Ken!

lets just not talk about the gas prices, lalalalalaalalalalalla, I'm in a pretend world where I don't see it and therefore it hasn't happened. I have no other way to deal with this issue.

The key to a good DB in my mind is use lots of butter in the pan that is preheated. We use pyrex. either 9x9 or even the big 9x13. I'm thinking of adding cinamon to it this weekend, it just sounded good to me. Let me know if you want our receipe, it came from a B&B Paul and I stayed at when we were young and in love (that was before we had kids):lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks for the recipe posted later! Will do it this week.

I can't wait to hear about that ::yes:: I love that first week of K :lovestruc

I think that cruise is the first weekend of 1st grade 2009. Will I be a pro by then or still a mess wandering around the house saying, "I know I have a long list of to do's!" I'm not sure, but I think I have about 6 other families/friends on that cruise from the TA/Med cruise. If it is the same cruise, it's a nice group of folks.

says the man with kids not in school :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DUNKIN DONUTS!

....oh man, I suddenly had a craving for the Bananas Foster at the Jazz Kitchen in DTD.....yummmmmm-eeeeeeeee!

.

Note to self... try this.

hello, isn't ours the highest???? gotta love California. Real Estate and Gas

I'm sick of being the highest at everything. Our weather has been cold this year, we should get a break on prices. Our house is down $200K and we are still higher than most houses in the country! That is insane.

Ok who else was looking into that pile and trying to see if they see their luggage?

Yep, that's why I pack breakables is bubble wrap. The first time I saw that I said, "OK now I know how to pack."

I am just to lazy when I get home, we want to swim and enjoy the evening. Not do laundry and yucky unpacking!

who else still is not unpacked!

me. me. me.

Not completely.....clothes are out but souveniers not...suitcases on the floor in 2 different rooms....driving me crazy! Will be finished this weekend.
