West Point Winter Social questions

My daughter's best friend has been invited to the West Point Winter Social the end of January. She'll go up on Friday and come home on Sunday. She knows she'll need a formal gown for the dance, but does anybody have any idea what else she'll need?

Any information will be appreciated. She wants to make sure she's adequately prepared for when she gets there.

Wow! I went to the West Point Winter Social many years ago. Probably about 12 or 13 years ago. I wore a long black gown and found myself to be appropriately dressed. Most of the girls at the time were wearing long gowns. Nothing too brightly colored at all and nothing short. Of course, I am dating myself and who knows what the style is now. Hope your daughter''s best friend has a great time! It was a great night!

Thanks so much for the response! The dress she's planning on wearing is actually blue. She's a blue-eyed blonde, and the dress is stunning on her. I hope it's not too bright (hadn't even thought about that). I'll mention that to her though.
