When do West Jet flights usually come up? Called today for a flight in Sept or October but was told there was none avaliable. Am I to early or to late?

You are too early. Last week they just came out with a seat sale for my trip Apr.25-May2. Something will probably be out in a couple of months for you.
Good luck.

I would call regularly and check. We got ours for April and I booked in October. They go very quickly so if you check often and your dates are a little flexible, you should have no trouble.

Both and neither all at the same time. I'm pretty certain that they don't actually have any airmiles seats on Westjet cause they want you to use more points to fly Air Canada. We've tried at 4 months they said I need to call at 6 months, tried that they said they were sold out, tried at 7 months, still no dice. We're going to have quite a few toasters from redeeming my airmiles.

I called AirMiles in Jan and was told I was too early for Sept flights. When I saw that WestJet had their schedule out for my time period, I started called AirMiles every couple of days and was able to get the seats I wanted. I was told that AirMiles only has 5 seats per flight and Air Canada has a few more seats.

We've used Airmiles and West Jet when they had the 1,500 offer which was great. 7,500 airmiles for our family of five to fly from Toronto to Las Vegas. We booked in August for an October trip. Got the dates we wanted etc. We wanted to fly out of Ottawa but that is always hard with Airmiles.
However, this time we are not using Airmiles. Waited too late for our March Break dates. The thing with Airmiles is you still have to pay taxes etc. We paid about $800 in taxes and 'fees' which I always hate because that is too much for taxes and fees! This time we are flying out of Syracuse -no airmiles - but the taxes and fees are less and the tickets are good price - direct flight. Etc.

I started in May for January 2 flights, at that time they only had flights up to the end of January 8, we wanted to return on the 15. I phoned nearly everyday one employee told me they received a memo saying June 2 was going to be the day the next flights would be released. My husband and I phoned all day on June 2 - I know the Airmile staff was getting annoyed with us.

My husband was finally told at 5 pm that the flights were on the system and we booked them. I wouldn't have been so persistant but saving over 7200 miles for the 4 of us was well worth it.

BTW, this was my first time flying with Westjet and I don't ever want to fly Air Canada again.

I think you'll find quite a few folk who'll agree with you.
AC is disgraceful (considering they advertise themselves are our national airline)
