West Coast Suggestions...

We're heading to the west coast in July and will be visiting San Francisco, Seattle & Vancouver. Any suggestions for hotels we can book with points?

Hotels or timeshares? We've stayed at the Worldmark San Francisco (timeshare) and The Canadian (Vancouver, also timeshare). Both were in great downtown locations with easy access to all that the cities offered. The Canadian was especially lovely and very well equipped even if a bit smaller than the average timeshare. The WM San Francisco was a charming renovation - but lacked kitchen features. (Not a problem for us as we had the city at our doorstep with plenty of restaurant choices?) We've walked around Worldmark's Seattle location, The Camlin, another downtown renovation success story -- but haven't yet stayed there.

While the DVC/RCI list includes many Worldmark properties -- I'm not sure if the three in these cities are included or not. You might also want to consider a direct exchange of reservations with a Worldmark Owner. (Inventory for this July is really limited!)

We just returned today from two nights at the Fairmont in San Francisco. All I can say is....WOW!! We had a great time and would gladly use points to stay there again.

It was one of our incentives. I hadn't stayed there since 1982 and it was even more spectacular than I remembered.
