I was reading something online that mentioned a talking palm tree at the entrance of Animal Kingdom named "Wes Palm" and a talking trash can named "Push"? I have been to Disney 6 times and I have NEVER EVER heard or seen these things. Can someone clarify this? Thanksssss!!!!

I've seen Push in the MK, in Tommorowland near the Speedway. I was sitting outside Auntie Gravity's near the bathroom when he showed up. I stayed there and watched him interact with the kids while I sipped my fruit smoothie. He was hilarious.

We also saw him a number of years ago when my DS was younger. He (and we) thought he was great.

Looks like a garbage can, rolls around talking to people.

I thought we saw him in Future World at Epcot, but it could have been Tomorrowland. Now I'll have to go back and look at the pix.

Push is out in Tomorrowland very often, I think daily. He's very entertaining and is definitely worth your time to catch. I thought that Wes Palm stopped appearing a couple of years ago. It's certainly possible he's back out I suppose (but I don't think so). If so, he's at the entrance of Animal Kingdom, before the turnstiles.

I'm pretty sure that we saw PUSH by the Electric Umbrella in Future World.

We met Push for the first time last year in tomorrow land. He asked DH if his knee was sore ( has to wear a brace following a car accident) and could he kiss it better for him. Really wish I had video of a trash can kissing DH knee better. Really really cute and even better when Stich came out and started playing with Push.

Push makes regular outings in tomorrow land near to Auntie Gravity's and lives in a room next to the rest rooms there (thats where we have seen him go once he needs a rest)

Not yet met Wes Palm but have been lucky to see Devine in AK. Now she is really cool.

I nearly laughed my head off once when Wes Palm literally chased a poor Japanese tourist all over the entrance to AK!! it was too funny! The man didn't understand English, and kept turning around looking at this palm tree that was stalking him! He'd walk to the left and the tree kept following him. Wes Palm was saying things like "Come back, I don't bite, you know!" "Did you know someone from your country tried to bonsai me once?" :lmao:

And please folks, no more revealing posts about how PUSH operates--can we try to keep the Magic for others?

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Thats funny, I really think these little extra characters make WDW such a special place. like I said Push was so great and really good at interacting with people and making them feel special. DH though getting his knee kissed better was one of the funniest things that he had ever had happen.

We ran into Push at Tomorrow Land during our trip last month. He sang Happy Anniversary to us and it was one of the highlights of our trip :)

Push and his controller guy were out a lot when we were there this month. In many trips we have hunted and sat and waited...and asked and so on to find that darn thing with no luck. This trip, we couldn't get away from him! we got lots of video and photos....and his controller is in many of them. I was surprised how close he stayed to the action....and he was hiding behind me for a bit which made it a little obvious who he was. ;)

During our last trip, I saw Push strolling past the speedway with a bunch of kids behind him. He was yelling, "Let's all go to Fantasyland!" It was adorable.

I'm pretty sure that we saw PUSH by the Electric Umbrella in Future World.

There is a very, very limited "talking" trash can at the Electric Umbrella in Future World, but that one is stationary and is not "interactive" in the way PUSH is. They are far from the same type of character.

PUSH is only seen in Tomorrowland.

Not yet met Wes Palm...

Sorry to report that Wes Palm is no longer at WDW.

He was retired a couple of years ago.
(Great character, BTW... very funny!)

There is (or was) also another mobile interactive character at DAK (seen at Planet Watch.)
PIPA, the roving recycle bin... (which may now also retired from service.)

PUSH can be found in MK's
Tomorrowland near Mickey's Star Traders
and the Tommorowland Speedway.

He rolls in for about a
half dozen 20 minute "shows" per day,
Sundays thru Thursdays
Between 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

You can check to see PUSH's "show-times" in advance by looking him up
on the following site in the MK Tomorrowland section.

This is a great site to keep BOOKMARKED for future reference.

The following site posts the stage shows, in-park and other on-property shows and their times for the CURRENT week.
(It is updated every weekend.)
The times may be "similar" for other dates as well.

My kids used to always look for PUSH in Tomorrowland after their first interaction. Now they are 18 & 15, and STILL look for him, mostly to try and find the handler and watch the interplay with guests ;)

I think that I must be getting the two mixed up somewhere in the cobwebs of my memory.

I do remember seeing PUSH (not a stationary trash can). I'm probably just getting two incidents mixed in together.

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2

I have pictures of our kids talking to Wes Palm during our trip in 2007. I can't say that I have seen him lately. It was so funny - Wes tried to tell everyone that he was really from Hawaii.

I think my daughter is forever traumatized (LOL) after a "run in" with Wes Palm several years ago. He said several hilarious things, but the most funny was when he accused her of being a "school skipper", which he clearly knew she was because it was early February! Ever since then she's always on the look out for him. And she's now 16. She'll be so relieved to know he's gone.

We were lucky enough to meet PUSH in 2008 after my DD BBB appointment (she picked Ariel). PUSH chased her around Tomorrowland calling, "Ariel! Ariel! Come back!" to her delight. Then he asked for her autograph.

Push called my son by his name, after spotting that he had it embroidered on his Mickey ears. He then informed him that he had his name on the back of his head, too - and turned around to show where it said 'PUSH'! So funny!

We were also lucky enough to meet Wes Palm that trip, who pointed out that we were going to have a hard time explaining to the folks back home why we were getting our photo taken with a pot plant!
