We're finally back home! It was an awesome trip as usual, full of magical moments and delicious food.
As mentioned previously, we stayed at the Contemporary for 3 nights, so after an early 6:30am flight, we made it to CR shortly after 10. After checking in, my mom went straight to the room to catch up on sleep, but I stopped at Contempo Cafe for some breakfast food.
Contempo Cafe has some great options for a deluxe resort CS location. Initially, I was planning on getting a nice, healthy breakfast - maybe some eggs and turkey sausage (which I did end up getting). But the Mickey waffle with bananas and salted caramel sauce was also calling my name.
I ordered the Mickey waffle with a side of turkey sausage, and the scrambled eggs were an extra side dish.
Here's the plate of eggs (after I moved the turkey sausage from the waffle plate to this one). The turkey sausage was nicely spiced, with the flavor that I expect from a breakfast sausage. The eggs were also prepared well - they weren't too dry or too runny.
But of course, the star of this breakfast was the Mickey waffle. It was very fluffy on the inside (the parts with sauce on top were extra soft, which I like). To top it off, the sweet bananas and caramel added a great, dessert-like flavor (this is another one of those super sweet breakfasts - no need for maple syrup, IMO). I don't feel a need to get this again any time soon, but it was fun to try.
Contempo Cafe's breakfast satisfied me very much - the food was very good, and I enjoy watching the monorails glide through the concourse while enjoying my meal.
After finishing, I promptly boarded a monorail to pick up my annual pass renewal at the TTC.
