We're Moving to Florida

We have decide to move to Florida the first week of August. My Mom lives there so we want to be close to her. We are looking at Deltona/Debary area. I am starting to look for a Admin. Support job. If anyone knows of one around that willing to travel to Orlando or Daytona let me know. We are also starting to look for a house to rent. I am so excited.

Yes we have a 6 year old, she will be in 1st grade. I am looking for a admin support job right now.

Our best friends moved there in "04", they live in Deltona. I love it down there, you might also want to look in Deland. I saw some nice homes there too. My friend is a school nurse in Deltona her husband works for the state of Florida.

I grew up in DeLand....moved north in 1987. Anyway, DeLand is bigger than Deltona & Debary (at least, it used to be....guessing it still is as it has REALLY grown and changed since I lived there). DeLand may have more job opportunities? Also - have you looked at DeLand? You may want to compare it to Deltona and Debary. Used to be much nicer, not sure if that is still the case. (no offense to the Deltona/Debary people) Agree with pp who recommended Lake Mary!!! I'd choose LM over all of them (if you can afford it) Or even Sanford? Good luck!

To tell you the truth, I think my friends that now live in Deltona would agree with you. They I think would love to be living in Deland, it's a lot like up here and reminds them of NH.

I just happened upon this thread. There is a small possibility that we could move to Jacksonville. I'm not sure what to think. Any input?

I called HR at work yesterday about seeing if there was any openings in central fl. and the lady is suppose to call me back on Monday. I hope there is an opening. I have been at my job for 12 years and would hate to lose all my benefits. Pray that it all works out.

I gave my notice today my last day will be July 17th. We can't wait to move.
