We're looking at mattresses . . .

We have a Tempurpedic and absolutely love it! I've never slept as well as since we got this bed.

Sealy Reflexions pillowtop. Absolutely AMAZING!

We have two, one here in Florida and one in NJ--DH lives here but works there, so he's up there two-three weeks of the month.

wejust ordered the one that DCL put on the ships....the Sealy pillowtop...it is being delivered tomorrow....my DH fell in love with it.

We have a Simmons Beautyrest Bowling ball bed but it's an attached pillowtop that you never flip. We have had it for 1 1/2 years now and we like it very much. It was suposedly $3900 but we paid $1899 for the King set. (there was a 55% off sale which happens twice a year)

I have looked at Tempurpedic but DH worries that it would be too warm to sleep. He thinks the "foam" would keep him too warm. What do you guys think?

The foam is definitely warmer than a regular mattress, but I haven't found it to be uncomfortably so.

Anne

Your husband is right the foam holds the heat just a little to well, but I work around that because it is so darn comfortable.

Another Sterns and Foster here... bought a Beautyrest and could not stand it. 2 months later, sent it to the DD at college and bought the S&F. Should have went there first!

We have one the exact same. It is like sleeping on a brick. My DH thinks it's really comfy, and hasn't suffered from as much backache as he used to. It's looking like twin beds for us!!!!!;)

We had one of those, tempurpedic. DH liked it at first but after a while it got too soft on his side and mine was hard as a rock. We got a sleep number bed several weeks ago and I LOVE it. I keep mine down around 25 and have woken up hurting LESS than when I went to bed, rather than the more pain I was waking up in for so many years. DH likes it too and it is a trial trying to keep DD10 off of it too!

anyone have one without coils? we looked at one that we were told is good to keep the dust mites away.

We have the S & F latex mattress (no coils). It was really comfortable when we first had it, but I am now not really sure it is any more comfortable than our old bed (Simmons Beauty Rest). It is supposed to last 15 years, though, and we don't need to turn it. The lady at the store said something about the bedding, that it shouldn't be stretched too tightly or something, so that might be my problem.

We bought our tempurpedic in 2000 and just got rid of it. It was getting to the point where it was so contured to our bodys that it did not provide any support and we kinda just sunk into it. For the first 3 years, it was awesome. We flipped it a few times and finally decided last month that enough was enough. My DH was waking up in terrible back pain everyday and there was also a "hump" in the middle of the bed where neither of us had ever layed.

We got a Serta Perfect Sleeper Merimac Firm - Queen about a month ago and love it so far. DH's back has definetly improved and I LOVE the pillowtop.

Did you use the warranty ?

We have a King Temperpedic and love it. Although we just stopped using the pillows and bought soft down type ones.

I have a pillow top and I can't even begin to tell you how much I love it. The mattress I had before that was like sleeping on plywood. Plywood with springs poking out of it. Yikes.

We have a sleep number bed. DH needs a firm mattress and I need a soft one. Consequently, we have a cliff in the middle of the bed. DH loves the bed, I hate it. The only good full night sleeps I've had on it were times I'd had drugs that knocked me out. We're talking about getting a pillowtop for it.
