We're living history

It is sometimes hard to realize that right now in the year 2008, we are witnessing major history. For the first time, we could very well have a black or women president. We are watching oil prices go through the roof. We witnessed a football team win 18+ games in a season. We are making huge technological advances. It's really amazing when you put your mind to it.

I know this seems really random, but I was just thinking about that.

Yeah it's also weird that my american history book last year had things about 9/11. We're already in the history books.

I was watching a commercial last night for Apple's (I tink) new laptop and it's 1/2 inch thick. I thought 'Wow. Look how far we've come.'

And just think about it. We have a 50% chance we're getting a woman, or black president. It's wonderful.

Exactly. From computers taking up entire rooms to one that can fit in an envelope. Its amazing.

It's crazy to think that we are actually witnessing this stuff too. I kind of makes my mind whirl if I think about it too much...

I can remember when we had one of those big, boxy, white computers with Windows 95. It's just...wow.

And to think that 20 years from now, the technologies will double as advanced.

Yeah, I remember those. Or the first cell phones that were the size of your forearm and twice as thick!
