We are finally members!!!! After trying to buy resale since August, we received an e-mail from TCS that they closed and we are now proud new owners of 170 BWV pts!!!


Hooray!!!

How soon until I can use the discounts? We are going for SSW and F&W Festival in a couple of weeks (staying in BWI not BWV). Is it crazy to hop to receive our member cards before then and can we still use the discounts even if we are not staying on points?

I'm joining the crowd also... we just bought in at SSR last Thursday.... we got our temporary cards and were able to use them immediately.... didn't get to though b/c we left Dis at 7am Friday morning... sad to be home but I'll be back

Congratulations and welcome home, kimpossible! We just got back late last night from a quick Disney getaway (actually a wedding in Merritt Island but we were sooo close, just had to visit wdw). What do ya think was in the mail? Yup, our member packet. But no blue card I called ms and they said 'yup, you're in the system' and they gave me the # over the phone. Not sure how that would help if I were trying to get the discounts down there in the world though.

Anyway...they sure processed us fast...like 10 days from the time we sent back our closing docs to having our member #!

PS. You can use your discounts anytime. Some of the food discounts are at the Swan and Dolphin, and I think those are really worth it. I think I remember a thread about someone going to DVC sales office in SSR and getting a temporary card.
