When we pulled up to the Fort, Denise went inside to check us in, I got out and saw this sign,

I looked EVERYWHERE and couldn't find any red Solo cups onna table, no open bar, not a single cocktail, absolutely no beer,,,so whats with the sign ?!?!?!

Hope you brought a bit of warm air with you. We're 150 miles south of ya'll and it's windy and chilly (I do know that this cold thing is all relative !) Sounds like good weather in the next few days. Let us know how it's going.. Do I need to put the sweater on the fur baby?

Good morning all. It's another fine day at the Fort,,cept for the heat wave of 34 degrees,,help us all the polar caps have melted and we have all drowned !!!
Oh wait,,that was Al's 1999 prediction for 2014 that didn't happen. Does that mean I'm gonna havta pay for this vacation or can I charge it off to him
Went out to eat a couple times while here, once to Cape May Cafe (we had 2 ressies for the Cape, canceled one)the food was very good, LOVE those clams but the guy dish'n them up try'd to limit me once,,IT'S A ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET !!!!
then last night we ate my second all time buffet, the Boma,,they changed up all our favorite items on the buffet,,took it off our list. Reck'n we won't be doing any eat'n out cept fer Earls,,,so far they haven't changed their menu,,they did however have a Christmas sammich that was KILLER, Holiday Ham and they also hadda Hawaiian BBQ that was most excellent !!

As far as I can tell, all the food groups are covered on that one plate. I would say as long as you walk to and from the eatery...hell, sounds good to me!

I spit some diet Coke at the screen this morning when I read your post. That's funny. But I thought the 4 food groups were beer, pizza, French fries, and cheeseburgers?

Seriously, I do see something green in the bowl in Frank's picture so there IS something healthy there to pass the red face test.

Howdy ya'll,,we made it back and back on the boards too. If ya'z didn't figure it out, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of our Fort trip our internet went Ka-Pooy, we didn't get back up running til this morn.
So, we'll see if we can throw in some more yak'n and a few more pics .

Okay, now that I dropped a couple pics I wanna say what a wonderful beginning to a New Year, Christmas in Florida and ending our vacation at the Fort. On this trip we didn't do any of the 4 parks, this was a total chillax'n trip. We NEVER set a alarm clock once, we relax'd, chill'd, didn't make any plans at all, took each day as it came,,,it was a time for shaking off this past year and start'n anew

I think we took this from the monorail,


We arrived at and met up with 4Mickey2 on the same day at the Fort. I love those guyz, they are such a blast. Did a lot with them while at the Fort.
While we were at the Fort we got to catch up with several very wonderful friends. Man it is sooo good to catch up, we really do have awesome Fort friends, from all over the country.
I'd like to give a special thanks to a friend who gave us a Tire Helper, I hope we never have to use it, but if we do it is a way cool tool to have

And I don't know what it is but there is some kinda construction start'n behind loop 300 at the canal/lake area
Talk'd to one local who said (he heard) that they were gonna start draining property to put up the Four Seasons,,,and again .

And I sat here for bout 1/2 hour while the girls (and guy) window shopped.

One more thing before I get off of here,,
ya'll heard about the Fort gett'n new coffee, it's called Joffreys, it replaces the old Nescafe. This has GOT to be the best thing Disney did for the Fort since bringing back Fort specific swag !!
I love the new coffee !!

We started back to work yesterday.
Ya know how ya hear people say,"yeah, vacation was good but it's nice to be back",,well I am not one of those people.






This time we were in the 900 loop, and I don't know why but for some reason we couldn't hear the boat whistles as well as we usta, .
Maybe I'm just gett'n old, or was the Fort just SOOO busy this trip I couldn't hear over all the noise ???



Great news ya'll, we checked at the Meadows store and so far this year the price of Cheese Whiz has gone up only .70 cents, now it's only 7.95

Hello Fort friends !
Well, we aren't in Kansas anymore. (I mean Florida) tomorrow's high is gonna be 35 in middle Tennessee . I am not spose to be this cold !!

So while we were looping 300, apparently there were some folk who wanted their site fresh'nd up with new/fresh crushed Coquina rock, I actually walked around this site and everything looked good to me. But the fresh crushed shore made it purdyer !






I just want to say that when I took these next couple pictures, that there were NO signs ANYWHERE that warned against taking photos, loitering, trespassing, etc,,nothing,,nada,, I didn't sneak, in climb over, etc,,, I simply took a couple pics from the 4-6 inch gaps in the fence from the Mickeys BBQ area where the old River country still exists (sad as it is )

This is either a old picnic area or the place where picnic tables go to die,

Don't remember if I mentioned this or not, but, this Fort trip was the first time ever that I haven't caught a swimmer off of Bay Lake,,Yeah I know, right? Kinda amazed me too. I did catch plenty, just outta the canals and Meadows pond. Oh well.
I was out early one morning fish'n (not catch'n) and took this pic,



I caught this one ona of the cooler Fort dayz,


Bailey the fur baby LOVES armadillos , only ones we saw this trip were these,


And tho not a great pic, this was one of the few Christmas decor still up when we left.


One morning while we were looping we saw this,

I can only imagine what story is behind this single flip flop,
so far I have come up with about ,,well, really the senarios are endless.

okay-Frank, you really didn't know about the legs for your grill for 3 YEARS! you've become a southern boy! << just kidding>> love the pics and the narrating. we had a great time visiting with you, Denise and Bailey. it's been too cold up here and we want to go back.
