In 4 dayz we'll be home ! (the Fort)
A little catch up on our happenings up to now.
It lightly rain'd much of the trip from Nashville till Florida. (no problem) Temperatures got increasing better the whole trip.(very good stuff) Hadda RV tire blow out, musta hit something.(still not a problem) Took our time driven down, we opt'd to stop overnight at the KOA at Forsyth,,Mmmmm fresh chocolate chip cookies
This vacation has been so awesome,and to think we've only been here a few dayz!
We have eat'n out a couple times, but so far the best food is cooking at site,,EAT'N LIKE KINGS & QUEENS !! We have this little grill that we've cooked with for bout 3 years, because it gets so hot ya havta put it on the ground or set it on rocks/bricks etc. so not to burn what it may be sitt'n on (like the picnic table) Well yesterday I discovered it has FOLD OUT LEGS underneath it !!
We've met some of the locals that we have affectionately name Tom and Ted, very cool tortoise.

Bailey firmly believes she's in heaven.(I'm beginning to think so too)
So far the catch'n swimmer count is up to 18 .
Chill'n, napp'n, eat'n, hav'n the occasional happy drink,,just camp'n
Wait'n for some dear friends to arrive,,can't wait !

LOL...we took a 24-hour Amtrak trip and managed to sleep some in spite of the gap between the seat and the foot rest...20 minutes before arriving at our destination, we discovered a portion of the seat where our lower legs touched actually lifted up to fill the gap and make a full recliner!

Suup ya'll !
Hadda cool day to start, 61 degrees, ended up like 74 degrees (I think)
Went down too do a little fish'n from the dock, too many folk were already there fish'n, so I just helped to unhook some swimmers.
There is a tree down by the lake that kinda reminded me of mother Willow (tree) from "Pocahontas",,,cept it wasn't a willow,,,nor was it a mother,,
kinda reminded me more of Jerry Garcia,,

Did I mention the racoons that feel like they need to share their night life with us ? Apparently racoons like to "fish",,Denise woke me up , they were slamm'n our poles against the RV, climbing all over the buggy,,,so I'm opening the window from bed screaming "HEY YOU RACOONS, KNOCK IT OFF !!" One stands up on the buggy and says, "yo mama!" and then runs off. Next morning we found they managed to unlatch our tackle box and had it completely upside down and half empty.
yeah, they been back, but we had things more secured this time,,,we could hear them muttering (not so sweetly) as they walked away.

And it's only 3 dayz till we hit


We are sooo enjoy'n relax'n, eat'n sleep'n, chill'n, and fish'n, can't forget fish'n.

The new year has begun ,2014 is here and it's time to make all those New Year Resolutions that we won't keep.
Last night , here in central Florida , the fireworks started heavy about 11M , and for the next hour the sounds built up to a freenzy minute by minute untill 12M and then it happened, for the next half hour the skys were lit up, the air roared and the ground shook in celebration of a New Year.
A new year to start over again as a country or as a individual , a time to ring out the old and start anew. And it is my opinion and wish that this 2014 will be the very best ever for all our Fort Friends.

Okay, now we gotta go pack up so we can MOVE TO THE FORT TOMORROW MORNING !!

Nopers, it's not Bay Lake,,but I did manage to yank 20 swimmers outta these waters,,(small lake where we are leaving in the morning).

Didja miss me ?!?!? Sorry, but the swimmers have been call'n my name! To date I've caught 39 fish, of those 7 have been bass.

Looks a bit damp checking in.
Is that a pot bellied pig with your pup? I didn't know that pigs were allowed in but I guess they are considered a pet. would you take a pig into the big dog run area or would one worry about a dog attacking it?

Yuppers, the day before we checked in the Fort it had rained pretty hard all day but had stopped by that morning,,,but WOW was the fog heavy !
Yes, that is Maxwell the pig,,he was here last year too. He seemed friendly enough, but he did show our sweety his front choppers as if to say "don't stand in my space".

Here's a pic of our very first Fort Host giving us a welcome to his site,,then he said for a hand full of peanuts and a beer that he'd make sure nothing would happen to our stuff when we were gone out.
