Third time I've tried to post this, tried twice from my phone but kept getting errors.
Arrived back verylate last night, I've decided Flybe must be the Scottish translation of "flight delayed" ;) :rotfl:
Eventually made it to DLP Friday afternoon, we had some good times, some great times and 1 or 2 disappointments over the weekend.
I took over 600 pics which Rob uploaded to the PC this afternoon, a couple of firsts for me - I did ride SM2  and I even opened my eyes in some parts  , Stitch Live - very funny, Crush's Coaster OMG - 1hour 10 mins wait, my thoughts on it - starts well but who thought up that spin you round/throw you around in the dark thing :scared1:, makes the Teacups seem positively tame in comparison - Rest of the family loved it
Salon Mickey - loved it, we skipped breakfast yesterday so that we could visit, for me it was a lovely start to the day.
Will be doing a trippie obviously and let you know the highs and lows in more detail. Right now I need to find out what Flybe's definition of "extraordinary" is, to see if we're entailed to any compensation for the cancelled flight and More Than because I think I can claim a little back from them for delayed departure. Also want to contact DLP to get the official line on the HB vouchers. I was under the impression and I'm pretty sure it's also on DLPmagic's website that you can use more than 1 voucher/person/meal if you decide to eat at a more expensive restaurant, so twice I went into City Hall and asked about it, spoke to 2 different CMs and was told it wasn't possible and I could use 1 and pay the extra, but not 2 and pay the extra. Also told that it wasn't possible to use them for drinks only (which I was expecting) but at the end of the day, I don't see the problem using them for their monetary value. From my point of view all I wanted to do was use up our vouchers as it is I've come home with a whole days unused vouchers.
Anyway it's my birthday today, so I'm going to sit down with Rob and have a nice quiet drink this evening, my legs and feet are aching too much to do much else. :)

 First happy birthday! :woohoo:

You take a well earned rest and I'll look forward to hearing about your report! Especially the problem you had with the vouchers as I have booked these...

BUT have a lovely evening, and enjoy your night :-) :yay:

I thought the two vouchers per person only applied to the half board plus vouchers in auberge.

Sounds like you had a good time though :thumbsup2

You may be right, I haven't had time to look yet, just at the back of my mind I was thinking I'd read about using more than 1 voucher/meal.

Welcome back birthday girl :dance3:

Followed your delayed plans with concern and hope. Looking forward to hearing all about your trip :)

welcome home and Happy Birthday

Im glad you got there eventually and had a good time

Were you left with extra vouchers because of missing a day? Can you claim compensation from the airline for the night you paid for and didnt use? If so can you claim for the vouchers you had bought as well?

Happy birthday Jill :cake: and welcome back :goodvibes
I look forward to your trip report :thumbsup2

Hi Jill,

I was so disappointed for you when I read about your flight problems on the way to DLRP - but it sounds like you all had a great time, despite everything.

Hope you have had a fab birthday too :goodvibes

Yes, we had been planning a meal at Billy Bobs on the evening we arrived, as one of the CM's suggested we could have had 2 meals in the park Saturday or Sunday with the later opening hours, but to be honest it would've just been a complete waste of food and the vouchers as nobody was hungry enough to warrant a second meal.

I will contact Flybe, but I don't really hold out much hope of compensation, the only thing I have found out today is that several flights did arrive and depart after our scheduled time, at the moment all I know is that our plane was diverted to Birmingham, but we weren't given the opportunity to go to Birmingham. Adverse weather at Cardiff was the reason for the cancellation, but they transported all the Welsh rugby fans by road to Bristol and Exeter for their Rome flights and a Las Palmas flight to Birmingham.
Something that I have just realised reading through my "More Than" Travel Policy is that you can't claim for cancelled flights only for delayed departures with them.

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes folks, I've had a very nice day. :goodvibes

welcome back, sounds like you mostly had a great time.

I would never use flybe again after using them in the past as every single one of their flights leaving both Manchester and Paris was delayed by hours, not just our flight.
