We're Home...A Trip Report

Aw, MAN! You ate my absolute favoritest Jiko meal! Isn't the pistachio creme brulee to die for? And you're right...no words suffice for the Filet.

I love pistachio anything, but I have to admit, at first I was like.. ehhhhh I don't know if I'll like it, but MAN was it good. My gramma always used to make me a pistachio birthday cake... she passed away last year... so this weekend, I'll make one for myself in her honor. Yum yum.

We'll definitely go back to Jiko - what a fabulous meal. I was just so thrown off at how uncrowded it was... I guess I always expected it to be crazy busy!

Both the meal and show sound incredible. Your trip is fantastic!!! Oh those kids are relentless.

Reading back... I hope I didn't sound anti-kids! They were just uuuuuugggggggh! UNBELIEVABLE!

Definitely could see the difference in parenting styles on this trip. There were good kids and there were bad kids, and I attribute it to how the parents were... as far as bringing snacks into the park, or having them take an afternoon break... it was those kids that were up past midnight that were having a tantrum... can't go commando with those little ones or you'll pay the price, right?

But what do I know... I'm not a parent! I could be totally off-base for that, and I'm sorry if I am.

WOW what a great time. Can I just say you two sound just like me and DH. We stayed at BC for our 10th anniversary. I felt just like you I was not ready for kids and I was 33 at the time of that stay. We were married 12 years and I was 35 and DH was 37 when our Disney trip turned into "lets have a baby". The only regret I have is NOT doing it sooner. Kids are wonderful if you want it and are ready for it. Now I will turn 40 and we are thinking about number 2. When we stayed at BWV we decided what the heck lets make a baby and guess what..........I came home pregnant!!!! Enjoy your time as a couple it is a fun time. BUT....Disney with a kid is an abosolute BLAST. You get to do all the cool fun kooky kiddy things all over and watch through their eyes. OK off my kid soapbox. Your trip sounds much like ours and we too love that location. We just like BWV better then BC (most likely due to the space of the 1 BDR villa we had). Thanks for the report it was a fun read!!!

Thanks lady!
Yeah, we're definitely in a space of someday we'll have a family...but we are just not ready. I'm still in school (taking classes along with working full-time) so I'd really rather be done and graduated before we go down that road. It's a goal I've set for myself to get my degree first. A few more years until that's possible (unless I start taking more classes per semester) but I was inspired by you (and a couple of others) saying they started a family in their mid-30's. I guess I'm under the pressure simply because my mom had me in her early-20's, my sis had her first when she was 19, and my brothers all had kids before their mid-20's. So I'm kind of the lone one out here holding out!

I'll be 29 on Monday... I've got plenty of time, right? We don't want to have a big family... one...two at the absolute most (unless God has other plans for us!)

:cutie:

Great photos! The Flick photo and tiger photo are both really cool!

Thanks lady!

You have plenty of time. Do it when you are ready. Like I said I regret waiting until I was nearly 40 but mid thirties is fine!! Definately finish school. That is actually what I did too. Now I love love love being an older mommy. Have fun as a couple and you will totally love motherhood!!!

What a great report; thanks for sharing. You did several of Dh and my favorite things; Dawa bar, the bar at AKL, Jiko's, Brown Derby.....Yum!
Your upgrade was fabulous, it doesn't happen often and the rest of us are happy for those it happens to but still a little envious. :goodvibes

I forgot to mention that we ran into Aaron (World Bouncer) and family two more times after flying down on the same flight from Indy. Once at Animal Kingdom, then again while we were getting our portraits done at the BC. I thought that was completely insane --- I mean, what are the odds!? It's a small world after all, right? Tee-hee. :cutie:

That Aaron bounces all over the place! LOL!

I'm such a geek! Kevin talked about my post (the kid drinking out of the lake) on this week's podcast.
