Long time - no post...We've had a lot happen this year...and we need a vacation. We've moved to GA and lost one of our furry kids a few months back to kidney disease...

We are booked into SSR Aug 23-30 - and we can't wait! :hyper2:

We got great dining reservations at all but our 2 favorite places (Le Celier and Ohana). Planned Dining:
  • Plaza Restaurant
  • Flying Fish
  • Bluezoo
  • California Grill
  • Boma
  • Coral Reef
  • Biergarten
  • Liberty Tree Tavern
  • Yak & Yeti
Still working out ticket plans. We had APs last year and haven't decided if APs are what we need for this year or if we will use our spare days on our left over tickets and just buy a couple as needed. Plus we might want to go to play in the water at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach. :confused3

Never been in August before - after the summer events at EPCOT and before the fall arrives all over property - any thing unique to do this time of year!?

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Great ADR's! I have always wanted to try BlueZoo.
Now, remember we want lots of details and pictures.
You're going to have a great time.

(ps...sorry 'bout your loss of furry kiddy )

I don't think I've ever been in August so I can't offer any suggestions there. Your reservations look great, have a fantastic trip!

Theres not really a whole lot going on in August. You've got the end of the Sounds like Summer Concert Series at Epcot for the first couple weeks, but thats less than thrilling. Aside from that, I can't really think of anything special going on.

Thanks, Rosie...we're really looking forward to it.

Thanks, Saxton and Lukas87...didn't think there was much else- we're thinking of doing a water park since we don't usually do that. So that'll be different. ;)

Hey Nicholas it is nice to see you posting:thumbsup2

Sorry about you doggie  Hope the move went smoothly (we moved too--all the way across the ocean).

The trip sounds fun. Get the fried wonton dessert thing at Yak and Yeti--I swear I have dreams about that:love: and YES do post reviews and photos when you return pretty please.

Woo-Hoo! You are going to have a ton of fun. One thing I like in Orlando this time year is that the rain is actually warm. The little tree-frogs will be singing their hearts out too. Absolutely awesome!:thumbsup2

Well, we JUST got back. Your ADR's look great. I would HIGHLY suggest heading back to your resort after lunch and hanging by the pool. The parks are VERY hot and VERY crowded. Your trip is during FREE dinning, so it will be JAM packed! :scared1: More than anything, it's the heat. We used that time to relax, cool off and shower AGAIN before heading out to dinner. The parks got cooler after 6. Enjoy! :thumbsup2

The weather scares the daylight s out of me, and yes, it's not so much the heat as the humity.

Thank goodness I'm going back again in February..I think I won't feel so crazed to "get it all in"..Luckily, too, James is very easy going and he won't mind missing things. (hopefullly it'll be a reason for him to want to go back ;))

Hi Hadley! We have been awol for a while on the dis...so we're out of touch. I just read some items on your blog! Your move sounds like an amazing experience for your entire family. Ours was much smaller than yours - we were just coming back to Atlanta, and it has gone smoothly. :thumbsup2

With my schedule at work this year, we haven't had time to take off and go to WDW like we had in the past, so we're excited to be able to be going next week. We likely won't get back again next year until after Thanksgiving...but we are hoping to do the Northern European Capitals Cruise on the Magic - we're booked, just crossing my fingers that we have the cash saved up when the final payment is due. :rolleyes1

I'll do my best to post some reviews, especially of the places that we've never been to like Bluezoo.

:bride::bride: Congratulations!! I saw the thread with the updates on your engagement!

Mike and I are celebrating 15 years today:scared1:...we are going out to dinner with some friends and plan to buy our selves some new art for the house while we are at WDW next week to commemorate the occasion.

We're not planning much on this trip - just the dining...we'll take the rest as it comes, and plan to relax as much as we can.

Hmmmm trying to remember.

I think if you had it printed on paper, it was under $100. Canvas around $150. I had a piece printed on canvas, and stretched over a frame for under $200.

They have some really nice things to offer! And I believe they will ship.

Heigh Hooooooo!!!!

Laundry is done...:laundy:
House sitter is booked pluto:pluto:pluto::fish:
Packing is started :cheer2:
We leave in the morning :scared1:

We're driving for the first time in a long time, but we're taking my Mini on it's first real road trip, so it'll be fun!!

C-ya real soon!
