We're celebrating Christmas with Mickey...oh and Daddy too!

Well, I've been talked into doing another PTR, even though last time, only a few people tagged along! I'm pumped to say that we'll be celebrating our holidays in Disney World this year!

A little background on why Daddy will be there too! My DH is currently deployed to Iraq, again. He will be allowed to take vacation this time around Christmas! We missed Christmas with him last year...which was DS's first Christmas, so we are really excited about this! He'll be able to spend a week with us in DW and then a week with us at home for Christmas!

The Cast:

DH (Alex): DH will be 27 when we head to the world this year! He was lucky and got to spend his golden 26th Birthday in Disney World last year! He was never keen on taking the kids here...until our trip last October. He loved it enough to take just me back in July for my Birthday and now spend Christmas there with the kids! He loves a lot of the shows and the thrill rides! This last time around he became a huge fan of Animal Kingdom! He is a firefighter when he's not home visiting us!

Me (Shelly): I'm 26 and the obessive Disney planner in the house! This will be my 6th trip to Disney world and only 2nd time staying on property! I love everything Disney...especially walking into MK for the first time on a trip! The smells, the air, the lights, everything is soooo special! My favorites are all the foods...taking pictures....and riding the rides that my kids love to go on! Seeing their faces light up makes it worth every penny! I'm a stay at home mom, for now and spend a lot of time on this website

DD6 (Maddie): She is 6 years old with the attitude of a 15 year old! She is quite the spit-fire! She's obsessed with Disney as much as I am and loves to look at people TR with me! She loves the Princesses and Minnie of course! She loves going to Chef Mickeys and loves waiting in line to meet characters! She is a wonderful student and loves to dance and sing!

DS1.5 (Jackson): He'll be nearly 2 when we get to DW! He was 9 months old on his first trip to DW! He loved EVERYTHING. What a trooper he was. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed he's the same way! He loved the characters, loved all the rides and the shows! He watches the Disney channel daily and LOVES Mimmie (Minnie) and Mammy (Handy Manny)! Like beyond obsessed! He loves life and loves his momma...so everything will be fine

I made it today! So you're right on time!!! I know, I'm so pumped to be there when it's not so bloody hot, and decorated in beautiful Christmas lights!!!

As promised...this entry will include our dates, our resort and the ADR's I'm determined to get! I really wish Disney would release their park hours a little bit sooner! As my ADR time and park hours are right about the same time-ish!

Dates: December 14th-20th...now, I haven't booked yet, because I have to wait to recieve approval in writing for DH's leave! But he was told it won't be an issue...but still I'm not even risking it! We will be driving down from WI! Hopefully there will be no blizzards or ice storms along our journey! So officially I guess our vaca will be starting on the 12th. We plan to stop in Atlanta and stay the night!

Where: Caribbean Beach Resort! Now, originally I had said we were staying at the Poly. And DH said I could book whatever I wanted for this trip. But after serious consideration, and we are almost certain we are going to buy into DVC...we decided to save the cash! We love the monorail resorts because of the convenience...and I'm not going to lie...I HATE Disney Busses...but we'll have a car with us since we are driving...so it shouldn't give us much of an issue!

ADR's: This is just a list as of now that we compiled of restaraunts we really would like to do! We will be on the DxDP!

That is pretty much all I have to report for now! If there is anything else I should add to my list...let me know! I'm waiting for hours to come out so that I can plan my days accordingly! We'll be having a "Disney Dinner and a Movie" night this weekend, so I'll make sure to take lots of pictures!!!

I will really just have to agree with that! Haha, and honestly...is the food any different than any other restaraunt around our homes? It cracks me up we get soooo excited about dining in Disney!!!!

Can someone please help me with my ADR dates? We are checking in on December 14th at CBR....is it 90 days out or 100? Do you count the 14th? Or start the day before???

Enter the date of your arrival (12/14). I went ahead and did it for you - 9/15/09 is your 90 day call in. You can book then for up to 10 days when you are staying on site. That is the 90 days (til you get there) +10 (days of your trip).
