We're coming this time of year because of wondercon. We'll be in the park the week before. Likely getting 5 day pass. The deluxe, which we sometimes buy will be blocked that weekend because of the wondercon.

Is this spring time hours probably? I'm looking forward to this because we usually come in November. Our babies are early risers but can only be in the parks for a couple of hours at a time. So we were in the parks for like 5 hours total daily last trip. Which I think was in oct/nov 2016. At least we had ap's that trip. They'll be toddlers this next trip. Both potty trained.

Thoughts and tips on travel this time of year are welcome. We haven't been in spring in years.

I rather suspect the deluxe is blocked out on March 30 because it's Cesar Chavez day, a state holiday. State offices and universities and colleges and probably a lot of local government offices will be closed, and the workers will have the day off. Saturdays in March are always blocked out for deluxe since it's spring break season. I would expect crowds since it is spring break time. It's also a time when school groups and cheerleader groups and so on start visiting the parks. The two weeks surrounding Easter are usually the most crowded of the season, so expect a little better than that.

Guessing on the hours, I would expect park openings of 8 or 9 AM with DCA closing at 9 or 10 PM and DL closing at 11 PM on the weekdays and midnight on Saturday and maybe Friday.

Last year during this time, DCA was holding the food and wine festival which also included added entertainment offerings.

We like visiting the parks during spring break season. Be prepared for variable weather, cool to hot, rainy to dry, and crowds, and then just be pleasantly surprised and happy if it all turns out better than you think it will.

Thanks! Those are the hours I was hoping for. I think the blockouts are 3/23,24. Fri/sat. Wondercon is 3/23-25.

Hmm. I see. Deluxe is blocked out Sat. 3/24 and Sun. 3/25. A Sunday blockout day for deluxe that's not some sort of holiday is unusual, so you are probably right that it is related...unless there's even something else going on. lol
