we're back!

hi all,
well, dd and i had a wonderful trip,i'm sad it's over already though. we were busy from morning until night, i need a holiday to rest up from my vacation LOL.
for those of you who read about our ID saga, dd did not get asked once at the airports for her birth certificate...but we did get asked at the border on the way down, so glad we had it.
my little black cloud followed me to wdw but i lost it, thank goodness, after the 2nd day we sat on the plane an extra hour waiting to take off while they fixed something and tiffany towncar insisted we had not booked a grocery stop(we had) and refused to stop no tip for the driver...i used it to help purchase what i needed at our resort at higher prices. we loved WL.
the next day, our 1st full day, we went to boma at AKL for dinner, and as we descended the dark staircase i missed the last step and fell down right to the floor (honest, i hadn't even had my 1st margarita yet!) of course i was lying down staring up at all the people sitting around me waiting for tables. you've never seen anyone move so fast...i was on my feet and out the nearest door in a flash, i was so embarressed. luckily i wasn't hurt(just my pride) and dd had a good laugh once she determined i was ok. anyway, the cloud hanging over me blew away and we had a wonderful week .

Glad to hear you were not hurt! That's a hard floor to fall down on! And I know just how crowded that area can get and OMG! You must have turned Christmas Red!LOL

Don't you just love it when you think you will take a nice relaxing trip and then you go Commando!

thanks for all the "welcome backs" i can't believe i'm back already either.
scratch-you're right, i did turn christmas red LOL. it is carpeted at the bottom of that staircase so it wasn't too hard, i actually got a bit of a carpet burn on my knee. i haven't yet been able to stop myself from going commando, but hope to relax a bit more on my next trip.
snowwark-we were actually heading outside 1st before our dinner ps, we were a little early and i wanted to show my dd the pool area as i had stayed at akl solo last spring. we did return to boma and had a wonderful meal.if anyone recognized me they were kind enough to not mention it
we did have a great trip-we went to mvmcp on 2 nights and did the CP dinner package. we spent one day resort hopping to see the xmas decor and i really enjoyed having tea with my dd at the GF. dd still loves having her pictures taken with the characters, and we did 2 character breakfasts , 2 character dinners and the ice cream social along with numerous other ps's. wishes was phenomenal. we really enjoyed the xmas parade too and saw spectromagic and illuminations. i also introduced dd to the fiesta marguritas at the stand outside mexico

Oh, Kathe! This will be a trip to remember, won't it? It sounds like you had a wonderful time despite the pre-trip hassles and the fall. WDW at Christmas sounds so wonderful and .....Christmasy. I plan to celebrate my 60th birthday there in ---10 years. Do you think that it is too early to get a countdown clock?

Welcome back!! Sounds like you had a good time even though you had a rocky start. Did you have any mouse bars? I can't wait to have mine in 9 days!! Will you post a trip report? Let us know so we can read those boards. Again, I'm glad you had a good time and enjoyed the parades and fireworks. That was neat you spent a day to visit the resorts and see all the decorations.

Debbie, it is never too early to start a countdown clock i've already starting telling everyone at work how many months and days till my next trip, of course there is a lot of eye rolling
but can't you find a reason to celebrate at disney while you wait for that 60th birthday
disneykins, you must be getting so excited about your trip did your son have any trouble getting the time off work? i never did have a mickey bar, but sure enjoyed my ice cream at the social. with xmas fast approaching, not sure if i'll have time to write a full trip report.
maryliz, i really did enjoy having my daughter all to myself for a whole week we had a lot of good laughs too. i hope you're right about that next trip being here before i know it
