We're back from a rather chaotic weekend but had a fantastic time despite all the flight upheaval.
DD keeps saying its been the best birthday ever and she absolutely loved her birthday meal at cafe Mickey

I'll do a trippie as soon as possible which could be named the same as our summer one - DDD with DDD (Doing Disney Different with Darling Disney Daughter) as we've never had a trip like it and hope we dont again

or it could be named the "Will we ever get there and will we actually get back?" trip

or I could stick to the original plan - Our Happy Birthday with Mickey trip

Anyhow a few highs and lows for now

Lows:
Chaos from Air France
Crowds - it was so busy
Lack of Disney Music in the park - it was nearly all Christmas Carols/songs which is nice but its still ages til Christmas and you cant dance up Mainstreet to Silent Night the same

Highs:
DDs birthday meal at Cafe Mickey
Hotel Kyriad
Staff at hotel and City hall for spending hours trying to get our flight info sorted
Christmas decorations
BTM reopened on time
Becoming owners of APs again - I feel a lot more trips are ahead :rotfl:
The weather - was much better than we'd expected

So on the whole it was yet another fantastic trip :cheer2:

sounds great i cant wait to see some pics. im glad it all got sorted out in the end for you

the flight situation sounds a nightmare but pleased it was all sorted. Can't wait to see some pics :)

That made me crack up.

I have visions of you doing some shimmy up Mainstreet to silent night now:rotfl:

Can't wait to hear more Small World- Glad you got back safely... :goodvibes

Glad you had a fab trip and that you sorted the flights out OK. I agree about the music though, it was the one thing I noticed really that made a WDW and a DLRP christmas trip different. At DLRP they just play carols (which was nice) at WDW they played christmas disney songs or disneyfied the music (which my DH hated BTW, much to my amusement!!)

:goodvibes Welcome back :goodvibes
Glad you had a good time despite Air France.:headache:

Glad you had a good time!!! Love hearing about how fab the christmas lights are - getting very very excited!!!

Glad you had a good time. Welcome back!:goodvibes

Glad you got back okay!! Can't wait to read your DDD with DDD TR!

Welcome back, glad your daughter had a fab birthday. Shame about the strike though. I look forward to reading your TR:thumbsup2

Welcome back. Could you please tell me how bussy it was on the different days. We will be there next week.

I'll try and get my TR started as soon as possible but am speaking at a conference in Birmingham on Wednesday so going down there Tues evening and I'll need to get my head round what Im saying tomorrow night.
Hopefully it will be done at the weekend

It was fairly quiet on the Friday but Saturday was very very busy. We are used to going at busy times but I would say it was busier than mid summer and as busy as last Christmas when we were there between Christmas and new Year.

It seemed busy today as well but to be honest we didnt see much of the park - we did EMH then got FPs for BTM and did PM and POC and that was it really as we were trying to sort the flight back home.

Thank you.
That is the magic of DLRP. Quests who have been the Saturday before said it was quite for a Saturday with waiting times of 30-45 min. (which is nothing for a Saturday) and now this Saturday was very bussy.
I hope it will be not to bussy this week. :santa:

There was some event on as well as there were lots of people with tags round their neck (with children with them mainly) and Fantasyland was closing 2 hrs early to prepare for fireworks. we asked whether there were fireworks that evening and were told no but there was a private party - it seemed to be on in Father Christmas' Village as that closed early as well
