Hi guys!

We're back from a week in Disney World, and on this trip we used the DDP. It was all right but there were some problems. Not many, though.

Here's a list of places we ate at while in Disney, with mini reviews:

Sunday:
Olivia's at OKW - nice lunch, the pulled pork sandwich was good, husband loved the grouper.

ESPN Zone - dinner! Had to go because my son wanted to see the game during dinner. Service was awful! Friends met us there and complained about the way their food was cooked. They ordered well done burgers that arrived pink. I had the fish, it was all right. Our server didn't seem to know how to work the DDP. I wouldn't go back.

Monday:
We spent the day at the Animal Kingdom and used our counter service credits while there. My husband and son ate at the Flame Tree Barbecue and loved it, my mother-in-law, daughter & I ate at the Asia food stand. They give a lot of food! Too much, in fact. I wound up getting rid of half of it.

Chef Mickey's - Dinner at Chef Mickey's was a big event for our little one. The food was good but not spectacular. I don't eat a lot so the buffets are a bit of a waste for me. My son liked the salmon, I enjoyed the prime rib but I've had better in other areas of Disney. We had a fun time.

Tuesday:

Our Magic Kingdom Day.

Cinderella's Royal Table - Breakfast was fun at CRT. DD (4) adored it. DS (22) loved it as well. He wanted to bring Jasmine home with him, lol. He also got in on the fun by getting a sword and swashbuckling his way up the stairs. He ate two plates of food so he must have loved it. We thought it was a very nice time. We never did many character meals before but we made sure to do them on this trip for DD, and she had a blast.

Lunch was obtained at Cosmic Rays. Nothing too great but for quick food it was good.

My Mother-in-law and my son went to dinner at The Original Outback at the Buena Vista Palace. It has nothing to do with Outback Steakhouse. They loved it! My son's boss recommended the place highly, and both the son & the MIL thought it was a great place.

Spoodles - DH & I went to Spoodles, where we were shocked to see that the place was empty. It was 8:45 at night, and a bit cold out, but honestly - who would have thought it would be empty!!! The food was phenomenal. We both ordered the red snapper. DH had the garlic shrimp appetizer (I can't share that, I'm allergic :( ) and we had a great time. Our server was beyond excellent and she explained a lot about the DDP and told us why some of the servers seemed to have a problem with it. This was our first time at Spoodles and we will go back.

Wednesday:

EPCOT!

Lunch was obtained at the French Bakery. DD loves cheese and ordered the cheese plate. For someone who survives on chicken nuggets she surprised me by loving brie. It was a light lunch, which was fine by me. We didn't need a lot of food. We mostly stuck with our snack credits for the day.

Akershus - Dinner with the princesses! Again DD loved it. My MIL loved it as well. The food was great. I had the cod and it was great, DH had the salmon, DS and MIL had the venison. DD had pizza. I think she ate nothing but pizza or chicken fingers/nuggets this entire trip. We were able to see Jasmine, Aurora, Belle, Ariel and Alice.

Thursday:

Lunch - Chefs de France - woo hoo! Great food, great service, and we loved it. DD had chicken fingers & pasta, I had Beef short ribs in Cabernet with polenta, MIL had the salmon and DH had the tuna sandwich. We indulged with creme brulee for dessert.

Dinner - Boatwrights at POR. Very, very nice! Our server, Guy M., was fantastic. We had a good time and great food. We met up with friends again. They both had the prime rib and it was made just the way they like it. I had the red snapper, and DH had the jambalaya. Everything was perfect!

Friday:

On Friday it was just DD and I. DH & MIL went to visit people in South Florida, and DS went out with friends.

We had a quick breakfast in the MK at the Bakery, and I had an idea to call for a reservation at the Crystal Palace for lunch. Sure enough, they had an opening for us, so at 2PM we enjoyed another character meal. I have to say I thought the buffet at the Crystal Palace was better than the buffet at Chef Mickey's.

Dinner - We met up with a huge group of friends at the Pepper Market in Coronado Springs. We arrived late so I think things were a bit old-tasting. I had the prime rib chef's special, my son had fettucini alfredo and rotisserie chicken, friends had the burritos, and everyone seemed to finish up with chocolate cake. It was good, selections were good, but the place was dead and I think things could have been a wee bit fresher. My son is 22 and ordered from the bar, and he was given a hard time. Not sure why, since he is 22 and had ID. Also, not every bakery item was "allowed" on the DDP and we didn't find that out until checkout, so we had to pay extra.

Saturday:

Our last day. :(

DH, MIL, & DS went to Olivia's for a nice sit-down breakfast before leaving for EPCOT. DD and I ran to Dunkin Donuts and then did some errands before going to EPCOT. I needed real coffee!!!!

We had snacks at the Land, that was all right.

Counter service lunch was obtained in Germany, where our server was aghast that we didn't want the included dessert. We told her we were leaving and didn't want the extra food, and she seemed shocked we wouldn't just take it. The bratwurst was good, everyone was happy, and then we headed home.

Thanks for the great reviews. It sounds like you had a real good time. We'll have to try Boatwright's for dinner sometime. I love Boatwright's breakfasts. Thanks again.

Thanks for taking the time to write and post reviews :thumbsup2

We were going to have 2 of us eat at Flame Tree and the other 2 eat at Anandapour CS. Maybe we should share instead.
